Apparently, it is now a CRIME to unlock your smartphone (the one you bought....your property), so that you can use it with any carrier you want.

Now, does that seem a bit draconian?

I just made it under the wire - NOT A FELON! Yipee!

I bought my smartphone through T-Mobile, the worst of all possible carriers. I worked with them from the beginning to actually get signal to my house. When it proved impossible, the "grace period" for cancelling my contract had barely passed, and they refused to let me out of it without demanding a termination fee. 

THE FACT THAT I ONLY WANTED TO CANCEL BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE THE SERVICE DESIGNATED IN THE CONTRACT TO WHICH THEY ALSO WERE A PARTY....didn't matter to them. They had me on timing, regardless of the fact that they had never fulfilled their part of the contract: TO PROVIDE ME WITH SERVICE at my residence.

They also refused to give me the unlock code for the smartphone I had, which was tied to their network.

So. T-Mobile could not provide service. Yet, would not allow me to cancel the contract without penalties, and insisted on making my smartphone useless to me.

They're REAL ASSHOLES.

Happily, I purchased my phone before the effective date of this freedom-crushing law, and was able to purchase an unlock code from a third party and now have a functioning smartphone on another network, that actually provides service. 

AT&T. They should get credit for good service and good signal. Even as T-Mobile should be cast into the sea and forgotten by history.

Except as an example of how NOT to run a company.

So, anyway, given my experience...this fucked up law would have made my VERY EXPENSIVE phone nothing more than a doorstop. Would have forced me to buy another VERY EXPENSIVE phone in order to get the service I originally contracted for with T-Mobile...but never got.

So the government is now in league with T-Mobile to fuck the next sucker out of service, signal, termination fee, and phone.

Nice.

Goodbye, sweet America.

Isn't there an opportunity here? Start a company that sells unlocked phones directly to consumers...with the guarantee that they can take them anywhere, to any carrier, to any network at any time.

I like it. If you make it happen before I do, great. More competition, the lower the prices go.

Well.  "Earth" Day.

Let's be clear: It's just a cover. It's Lenin's Birthday.

The guy who established "Earth Day" is a big fat communist, in love with Vladimir Lenin...the Russian Dictator. And on the 100th anniversary of his birth created the tissue thin excuse for us all to celebrate Lenin's Birthday, called "Earth Day".

Love that we celebrate that in America...and American Schools.  Yeah?

April 22 is Earth Day. Very appropriately, and not by any means coincidentally, Earth Day is celebrated on the birthday of the socialist tyrant Vladimir Lenin.

It's appropriate that the two are celebrated on the same day, because there is no relevant difference between the socialist and environmentalist agendas in this country. Saving the environment is simply a euphemism for eviscerating the rights of property owners and creating a dictatorship.

When environmentalists decided that the Earth deserved a day of celebration in 1970, they could have picked any day of the year, as no one knows the exact day date of the Earth's birthday. They chose Lenin's birthday, just as Khrushchev had done. Was this just a coincidence? I think not.

Dennis Prager says it simply. And it's the fundamental truth we all need to recognize. Especially regular, everyday Democrats who, so far, refuse to believe it.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras (AP) - Diplomatic efforts to restore Manuel Zelaya to Honduras' presidency shifted back to Washington on Tuesday, as supporters of the ousted leader threatened to escalate protests and disrupt business across the poor Central American nation.

I wonder, does the AP think it's not a good idea to describe these so-called "supporters" of the ousted leader? Would they be the drug lords, gangs and communist party? Would they be the spies and operators sent and supported by Hugo Chavez?

Does anyone believe they are the regular folks, the honest citizens, the decent people of Honduras?

I begin to feel that we live in the Matrix...not as metaphor, but in reality, where nothing makes sense, and there are powers at work very determined to make and keep everyone on earth a bound slave.

We are on the wrong side of the mirror, where America is feting tyrants and dismissing & isolating the people desperate for freedom from them....Iran, Israel, Honduras, North Korea.

For the first time in my life, I am ASHAMED to be an American.

This man, Zelaya, should be quietly thankful that his civilized countrymen did not see fit to kill him. He should shut up and go away. He would be a pariah in decent company...but is an honored guest of the United States of America.

Honduras Coup Prevented

Gustavo Coronel at Human Events on the Honduras situation. He makes it clear that it was Zeyala that attempted a coup!

That the American "President" should be in league with notorious Latin American dictators to back a Marxist insurgent does not come as surprise, I suppose, considering he is a demonstrated Marxist himself.

I suggest that the American People keep a sharp eye out for this sort of thing from their very own incipient tyrant.

...Therefore, when Zelaya put his plans in motion the Supreme Court issued a judicial order to stop the referendum and ordered the army to prevent it. In parallel the National Congress of Honduras, including members of the government party, declared Zelaya’s pretension unconstitutional. Zelaya responded by dismissing the military chief and by pushing forward with his plans. In answer, the Supreme Court ordered the military chief reinstalled in his position since he was only following their orders.

Sunday June 28, President Zelaya tried to put the referendum in place and the Army, acting on orders by the Supreme Court, stopped the event. President Zelaya was placed in a plane, unharmed, and sent to neighboring Costa Rica. The same day the Honduran National Congress decided, with the votes of the members of the government party, to unseat him as president. The reason? President Zelaya had tried to place himself above the laws of the country. By trying to pave the way for his re-election he had attempted a coup.

...And this time the U.S. went along. President Obama has just asserted that the weekend outing of Honduran leader Manuel Zelaya was a “not legal” coup and that “he remains the democratically elected president”. Apart from the fact that no coup is ever legal and that no one disputes the fact that Zelaya was elected democratically, President Obama neglects the fact that Zelaya was not ousted by a coup but by the National Congress and the Supreme Court of Honduras, acting together as legitimate institutions of the country. This is what independent powers in a democratic country do to a president that attempts to be above the law. In the light of this President Obama’s unfortunate assertion it now seems clear that lovers of democracy in Latin America will face an uphill battle, surrounded by governments that prefer to discard principles in favor of pragmatism.

The world is indeed upside down. I suppose the faster it burns, the sooner we can start over, and get it right.

Pretty much my best hope at this point.

It's just what dictators do.

Remember my contention that if Zero and the Democrats try to silence Conservative Talk Radio, they will prove beyond a doubt that they are Fascists?

Well, the first serious volley in that offensive has been fired. Zero's attack on Rush Limbaugh, and the attendant hysterical coverage by the Slobbering Media (thanks Bernie) about his desire to see Zero's Soviet agenda "fail"...are trying to accomplish two things.

1) Making Rush and Conservative Talk Radio into "The Problem". Painting them as out-of-the-mainstream obstructionists, who are irresponsibly stirring up trouble for Mr. Moderate and the Me-Toos, forcing them to deal with dissent, objections, opposing views and an intolerable lack of respect for their superior understanding and their Gaia-given, divine right to rule.

2) Distracting attention from the sneaky, under cover of darkness, slime stealth attack on the American Way of Life, by the new "President" and his posse of traitors and useful idiots...represented this week by the Pork Package/Bloated Spending Spree they insist on calling a "stimulus package".

I don't know how we're going to stop them, they are not listening. No amount of calls or emails will change the minds of these Otomatons...as they goose-step to Perdition in the shadow of their Beloved Leader.

Zero has made it clear by his singling out Rush Limbaugh that he has every intention of silencing dissent. Liberal Soviet Fascism is on the horizon. And an election may not be enough to turn the tide.

The Leftist Wet-Dream Spending Spree they're calling a "stimulus" package will put us all so far in debt, give so much power to government, create such restrictions on private and business behvior, waste so much money, fund so much junk science, advance so many Leftist special interests, and even fund Leftist political activists...to further undermine our Republic...that we the people will never be able to fix it working within the political process.

We are taking that step too far....beyond the realm where Liberty and Republics thrive.

A few years ago, I thought I was living in the first stages of the decline of the American Rome. And while I wanted to stop the degeneration, I was grateful that I lived while we were at the height of our brilliance, power, prosperity.

I had no idea that within just a couple of years, the greatest nation on the face of the earth, and in the history of the world would have accordioned the life span of a weakening state into a moment, and would be facing imminent collapse by the barbarians within...far more insidious and dangerous than those from without.

Yet, here we are. With Zero and his mates chewing down the buildings as fast as they can. I wonder if they understand the final destination of a barbarous people? Do they think that they alone are predators?

Let me be clear. Brack Obama is a traitor, a racist, a Marxist, an arrogant elitist, a hater of the Constitution, a respecter of no laws, a believer only in his own superiority. He despises my America and he wants to "change" it. When you change something, you turn it into something else, something different, something not the same as it was.

In other words, he wants to turn America into something not America.

He wants to change it into something inferior, weak, ignorant, unsure, faithless, insecure, something without spirit, courage, honor, truth, ingenuity, innovation, vision, dreams, self-reliance, industriousness, justice, faith.

And he insists that I help him. We all must take responsibility, says the Magic Negro who has never taken responsibility for a single thing in his entire adult life, and who supports, and is supported by, the huge swaths of parasites among us who insist that the productive give them everything they want.

Those who have demonstrated personal responsibilty, built businesses, paid taxes, raised families with two heterosexual parents, taught values, inculcated faith, somehow, are the villians in this fools universe. And those that have chosen to live lives defined by sexual excess, drug addiction, fatherless families of criminal children, law-breaking, disdain for education...are the heroes and the victims for whom we must take ever more responsibility, on whom we must shower ever more of our hard-earned money, to whom we must give ever more of the fuits of our labor, and to whom must be given special privileges and lower standards, and equality of result, no matter how unequal their contritution or their efforts.

The American Dream becomes the Zero Dream, whose slogan is: "From the Productive to the Parasites."

The hysterical, delirious ecstasy on display by the orgasming media over this criminal fraud makes me want to put out my eyes and stab sharp sticks into my eardrums.

For a long time, I thought the parallels being made to Mussolini and Hitler were over the top. I no longer think so. This level of Cultish adoration is the historical precurser to dictatorships just like Hitler. It is what ended the Roman Republic. It is currently operating in North Korea.

This is what's wrong with Republicans. Rick Moran is contributing to the death of the GOP. He is asking that they abandon, without a fight, Conservative principles, in order to be nice and "affable" and non-confrontational.

Yes, let's visit and giggle with the cannibals as they lick their chops and heat the cauldron. Great idea. People like Moran have learned NOTHING from the last 16 years. Miss Manners Rules of Etiquette is not a weapon. But he advises that we bring it to a gunfight.

This is called ...

• being dazzled by the bullshit

Another nice, nice, Republican, who is dead wrong. Failing to call monsters and traitors monsters and traitors makes it impossible to change course "down the road" because you have already implicitly approved of them and tarred yourself with their filth.

And is he serious? Is there any doubt that the "stimulus" and the "bailouts" are the exactly wrong thing to do? He needs to learn the Second Conservative Rule: If it advances the size and power of government, it's bad.

I love American Thinker, but if they are committed to this policy, they will soon be irrelevant, a side-liner, a spectator, in the upcoming face-off.

If one believes one's opponent is honorable, it is reasonable to approach them with respect and honesty. But to imagine that "honor" has any relation to our opponents, who have proven themselves to be sleazy, cheating, lying, ambitious, self-aggrandizing, grasping, tyrannist, bullying, extortionist, Fascists/Communists, again and again, is suicidal naiveté.

If we refuse to acknowledge that their goal is to ruin America, to create a socialist "paradise" in which they wield all the power and cast the rest of us into slavery to the State, we are doomed. They are liars. They are traitors...because they seek to undermine and ultimately discard the Constitution. All one has to do is watch what they do to see that this is true.

They have already made it clear that they want to:

• Silence free speech of those who disagree with them
• Outlaw guns
• Persecute Christians/Christianity
• Use the power of the STATE to intimidate & prosecute political opponents
• Destroy the Free Market
• Seize private property
• Increase confiscatory taxes
• Create a communistic "planned" economy
• Redistribute wealth from the productive to the parasites
• Control prices
• Control wages
• Dictate business decisions
• Force the unionization of all private businesses
• Disenfranchise American voters through massive election fraud
• Replace Rule of Law by Cult of Personality

Clarity of thought, reason and logic dictates that we recognize that these people are criminals and traitors to the ideals of America. To suggest that I should "give them a chance" to advance their treasonous agenda before I oppose them is to suggest that I become an accomplice in treason—"for a while". How does that give me credibility? How does that help my case? How, exactly do I live with that?

No thank you. I will not sacrifice my soul, my honor or the fate of the world, in order to be considered "nice", or to be seen as "reasonable" by unreasonable villains, suicidal, self-hating collaborators or frightened, clueless sheep.

I am an extremist.

I have no doubt that in Germany, as Adolf Hitler was coming into power, there were some who distrusted him and saw the danger of his Personality Cult and of his policies and promises - and while it was still possible without being murdered, spoke against him. And no doubt, they too were called unreasonable, rigid, extremist, unpragmatic idealogues who exacerbated division instead of encouraging union and "working together". (Which, by the way, always means capitulation to the demands of those who call for it.)

I think I'll take my chances, and while it's still possible in pre-fascist America, try to get people to understand what's really going on here...and to stand implacably against the onrushing tide.

I was just at Joan of Argggh!'s blog, Primordial Slack, (which you simply must read), and she had a link to an awesome post at Velociworld.

Joan says in her intro post, that several people addressed the same issue that day (January 8)—you'll see the links—and I was a little shocked because it was today (January 12) that I came across it, the very day I entertained similar thoughts and arrived at a conclusion that was something of an epiphany.

It is simply this:

The Leftist President-"select", and his minions, the Leftist Democrats want nothing less than the complete capitulation of America. They want a fascist/communist dictatorship with themselves in the seats of power.

They want a STATE that rules all, dictates all, directs all, owns all.

Everything they have done since FDR has been proven by history to be damaging to a free society. They have brought us ever closer to an all powerful STATE, and they are continuing at an ever faster pace to bring their plans to fruition.

They propose to use money on "infrastucture", by which they mean pork to local and state governments for useless, pointless and unnecessary projects. They propose to curb capitalism, they propose to ration healthcare, they propose to take over 401ks, they propose to outlaw more guns, they propose to forbid clean coal plants and nuclear power plants, and ban drilling for oil. They propose to raise taxes on the productive and give free money to the parasites who depend on them, obey them, vote for them.

Their intention is to cripple this country so that the people are so frightened and desperate they will accept a huge, dictatorial government that controls our very lives, in order to gain peace, safety, food, security.

They lie when they say they love America. They hate us and her. They lie when they say they want the best for us. They want slaves and serfs to do their bidding. They are power-mad, soulless brigands who intend to plunder this country and us until we have nothing of our own left.

Watch them. Listen to them. Nothing they propose has the least potential to 'fix' our problems. It's all an elaborate hoax.

They pretend tax cuts don't improve the economy in the face of overwhelming proof that they do...and that they increase tax revenue to the STATE as well.

They pretend that Welfare is compassionate in the face of overwhelming proof that it has decimated legions of families for generations.

They pretend that government schools educate children in the face of overwhelming proof that our children know less when they graduate from high school than our grandparents did when they graduated sixth grade.

They pretend that government regulations curb the excesses of capitalism in the face of overwhelming proof that government regulations created the excesses of capitalism, and were directly responsible for the current economic crisis.

They pretend that illegal immigration is good for our country, (and pretend that it is the equivalent of legal immigration) in the face of overwhelming proof that it balkanizes our nation, breeds resentment, lowers the wages of unskilled Americans and increases their unemployment, and dilutes & damages our culture and traditions.

The pretend that "tolerance" is virtue in the face of overwhelming proof that it is the complete lack of good judgment and the refusal to recognize virtue.

The pretend that "multiculturalism" brings people together in the face of overwhelming proof that it pits groups' interests against one another, creates hostility, envy, anger and violence; and it encourages the acceptance of the evil as the equivalent of the good.

They pretend that universal healthcare will bring high-quality free health care to all in the face of overwhelming proof that it will merely condemn the sick to months-long waiting lines for meager care, rationed medications, and the end of innovative drugs, new therapies and advanced procedures.

They will do and say whatever is necessary to seize total power. Zero's combination of blackness, leftism, and "eloquence" could not have come at a better time for them. I have no doubt they see him very seriously as the Messiah that will lead them to their promised land...a nation run by themselves, for the fulfillment of their agenda, their elite satisfaction, their profit, comfort, pleasure, privilege and permanent power.

They are the most base and barbarous criminals. They seek to strip an entire nation of its sovereignty, its freedom, its natural destiny, its prosperity, its very soul.

They are eager, avid, hungry....to burn the Constitution.

Watch. Listen. No-one can do the things they do with perfect consistency, and mean what they say. It defies all the laws of logic and reason. What they do is who they are. What they say is a lie.

But we cannot hope to convince anyone. No one will believe us. The press, the educators, the entertainers, the politicians all croon the same lie. We are outnumbered, out voiced, out foxed.

All we can do is wait until they unmask themselves. When they show their fetid face the people will recoil. When the jackboots are kicking down their doors and plundering their property, the people will want redress.

Then and only then, will they listen to us with open minds.

I wish it weren't true. But I do not doubt that it is. And if it is, it is our job to be ready with the answers, with the remedy, with the truth and with the means, to reclaim America.

The New Aristocracy

This is what big government creates: a political/ruling class. And we are now cursed with an aristocracy that doesn't even have the historical sense of noblesse oblige. They have no tradition or sense of duty or service - as was passed down through the families of actual aristocracies like that of the civilized English of the past. They only have the grasping, primitive instincts of tyrants and thieves, like the current bully-boys in Africa and the Middle East.

I don't see how this can be fixed peacefully...anymore than Angola, Ruanda, or Sierra Leone could be "fixed" peacefully.
