First Responders

There seems to be some confusion about the role of "First Responders" and what they actually do.

First Responders are:

Police
Firemen
Medics

Responders come to the scene after a disaster.

They do not PREVENT disasters.

The confusion arises from the common motto of Police Departments: "To Protect and Serve". Regular folks expect the police to "Protect" them....in what might be called a "Pro-Active" way; when, in fact, the role of the police is almost entirely "Re-Active", responding to something that's already happened.

See, it's right there in the name: "RESPONDERS".

Responders respond, Protectors protect, the responders show up after there are dead people.

What people expect of the police is actually the mission of a Security Team: to prevent disasters.

Some rich people, famous people, important people, elected people have security teams.

Regular folks don't. It's up to each of us to be our own "Security Team".

And that's just what Øbama and the progs will prevent us from doing if they can get their way.

Just look at what they're doing to the military recruiters....

"The Armed Services should be armed."

How does the pure, unadulterated logic of that escape government apparatchiks?

They Need a New Motto

A liberal of my acquaintance recently referred to the job of the police as "To Protect and Serve".

I didn't disabuse her of the notion.

She has actually stated that her one worry with regard to a home invasion or burglary is her ability to get to her... phone....

I suggested she might want a firearm instead. She shivered her revulsion, and ignored the suggestion as though it was vaguely obscene.

She'll make a pretty corpse, though.

Something Must Be Done

Watch this news report.

It shows a silver CAR plowing into two men who are just standing at a gas station.

Now, I don't know about you, but I've had pretty much all I can take of this CAR violence, and we need to do something about it.

A civilized society should not have to put up with this sort of thing.

It's time we face reality, and ban CARS once and for all.

Think of the lives we'd save if there were no CARS to create this sort of mayhem!

CARS are inherently dangerous. Consider: They're big, they're made of hard metal, they go fast!

Do you know how many children are killed by CARS in America every year?

That CARS are still driving up and down our highways and byways, willy-nilly, is unconscionable in the twenty-first century.

Call you congressman and urge him to support banning CARS...so we can all feel safe again in our communities.

Do it. For the children.

What's in a Name

I've been feeling pretty overwhelmed by the onslaught of evil raining down on us from Øbama's essentially illegal government.

I literally can't figure out what to do because I am being punched from so many directions I can't catch my breath or clear my head enough to get my bearings.

Every single thing the Imperial State does needs to be fought, addressed, resisted, exposed.

How the fuck do we keep up with all that?

How do we not get drowned in the torrent?

 I'm pretty smart. But I like things simple. And the current confusion has been making me crazy, ineffective, crippled, brain-locked.

(okay, quitting smoking might have had something to do with it, but it's been over 2 and a half years now....I think I need to move on from THAT excuse!)

Anyway, I think I've found my way.

When I tell you, you're going to say...."well, duh, GUNSLINGER!"

Yeah...it's the Second Amendment.

It's the one that guarantees the rest—that in fact guarantees liberty. And at ALL costs, we need to keep our guns—all of them—our ammo, our right to defend ourselves against an out-of-control government—you know, pretty much the one we have now.

I get that there's a lot more going on in the country than the Emperor and his minions trying to disarm us...but I just can't focus on it all, and trying to is making me frustrated and feeling like an inept & inadequate loser. I've gotta focus on the thing that seems most important to me. One thing that I can work on, and maybe actually make a difference.

And hope that others will specialize in other areas that need to be addressed.

Like the Industrial Revolution:   Division of Labor.

How it Works...

I'm at work. The head of sales is encouraging a customer to put in an order. He uses the metaphor: "Are you ready to pull the trigger?" The client says yes he's ready. But the salesman is unclear whether that means he actually has pulled the trigger, or is just "ready" to...so he asks for clarification. This is the customer's response:

"Yes, it means the metal pin struck the intended location releasing the planned event of controlled combustion thereby setting the more robust yet contained burn in play building the necessary pressure to cause a small detonation dislodging the bullet from its casing and guiding it down the rifled barrel producing the engineered spin and velocity to thereby propel itself to the intended target."

Seriously, how beautiful is that?
