"Truth is a Virus."

"You can't stop the Signal."

These two quotes have been rattling around my head for some time.

They're from different movies. The first is from some forgettable (I forget) "youth angst" confection starring Christian Slater. The second is from "Serenity".)

They seem to be trying to make connection.

A friend suggests an epiphany is working its way to my consciousness.

Now, there's the obvious connection between the two phrases, but it's a surface, generalized one.  I think there's a long-term, specific strategy—trying to burrow its way up.

Alternatively,  maybe it's not about me at all. Perhaps I'm just supposed to post it...and the appointed "hearer" will read it and know exactly what to do!

Anyway....send it around. Maybe something will happen.

Czar, Czar or Commissar?

TLF is reporting that Mark Lloyd, identified by the Fringe media, and focused on by Glenn Beck, as a "Diversity Czar" at the FCC accompanied by horrifying video of him celebrating the takeover of the what was once the Free Media in Venezuela by now dictator Hugo Chavez....is, apparently...not exactly a "czar".

I'm not sure that makes a hell of a lot of difference given the makeup of the FCC under Obama, and the community organizations that are demanding "net neutrality" and government regulation all under the name of "freedom"...

Lloyd’s critics argue that these [his] views are extraordinary, putting him hopelessly out of the mainstream of debate. But again they are wrong. But the real problem is not that Lloyd’s views are extraordinary. It is that they are far too ordinary in some political circles. The 2007 talk radio report, for instance, was not a random screed – in fact it had seven authors and was jointly published by the Center for American Progress and the advocacy group Free Press. The fact is that there is significant political support to control the content of speech, especially conservative speech.

Chairman Genachowski, asked about Lloyd’s appointment, asserted that Lloyd would have no role in broadcast licensing issues. He also maintained that he did not support speech controls, stating his opposition to the Fairness Doctrine by the front door or the back. “I believe deeply in the First Amendment, he added, “and oppose any effort to censor or impose speech on the basis of political viewpoint or opinion.”

That’s good news. But it would be more reassuring if he specifically rejected the ideas in the Lloyd paper. And if other policymakers – some of which are on record as supporting the Fairness Doctrine itself – did so too.

No, there is no “speech czar” at the FCC. But that doesn’t mean there is no threat to speech. There is a very real threat. As the adage says, just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.

More Freedom News

Apparently the tumult in Honduras, and Venezuela's (and Obama's) support for the incipient dictator, Zeleya, is turning out the folks in Latin America into the streets for Freedom.

Chavez's remarks sound eerily familiar, dismissing the protesters and calling them names, particularly "right wing extremists".

I guess he's taking his pages from Obama's book now, instead of the other way around.

Here's to the Freedom Fighters around the world!

...and here's to dictators everywhere eating shit and...er....shuffling off this mortal coil.

Keep an eye out on the fascists. They are coming for our free speech.

This is an improvement, in that some are aware of the execrable nature of silencing dissent. But that does not mean that the vipers have given up.

But note, the FCC has been given the power to regulate "diversity", which is just another way of imposing the "Fairness Doctrine"—without admitting to it.

How is it that Czars, Commissions, Bureaus, Administrators, Coordinators, and other non-elected entities have the power to make what are essentially "laws" without benefit of input from, and without being subject to the censure of, and discipline by Free Citizens?

Is it time to take our country back yet?

Remember when I said that if the Democrats voted to use the power of the STATE to silence dissent they will have proved they are Fascists?

Well, they did it. They are officially Fascists.

Of course, considering what they've done between my first statement to this effect, and now, it's not all that surprising.

But I just thought I'd make sure you knew it was official.

Democrat United States Senators have decided to use the oppressive power of The State to silence the political speech of citizens who disagree with them.

It's just what dictators do.

The Founding Fathers knew this and wrote the First Amendment to make sure it would never happen here.

The American Fascists have just shredded another bit of the Constitution.

ACCORDING TO DEMOCRAT SENATORS, THEY WILL PERMIT YOU TO SPEAK ONLY IF THEY APPROVE OF WHAT YOU SAY.

Are we really going to let them get away with that?

Wow. Sean Hannity just became my hero. I took a smoke break, and tuned in. He was on a total rant...against an as yet unidentified senator....

He was roaring about the the Democrats' move to silence talk radio, their power grab, their plan for dictatorial power, their disregard for Freedom of Speech...and he threw down with the challenge..."If you want this microphone, Senator, you're going to have to come a take it!"

How is this possible? Or this?

We are disgusted and indignant when Muslims scream, threaten and riot over cartoons that offend them.

But when something is said offensive to Jews, we pass laws to imprison people who say it?

I'm having a little bit of hard time wrapping my head around this one.

It cannot be justified. It is as frightening an example of totalitarianism as I can imagine. Ultimate thought police. Understand that these laws are the beginning of the end of all freedom. Because if you think it will end here...you have NOT been paying attention.

You will think what you are told to think, say what you are required to say, or die.
