The Sincerest Form of Flattery

Christopher Adamo at Intellectual Conservative has written an interesting analysis of the Occupy Wall Street mob.  He suggests they are trying to be the Progressive version of the Tea Party in the same way Air America tried to be the antidote to Rush Limbaugh and the rest of Conservative Talk Radio.

He thinks they'll accomplish just as much and be just as successful.

And that's a cozy, comforting thought.

Endowed with a mantle of sanctimony conferred upon it by liberal mouthpieces on the nightly news, its members possess neither the conscience nor the dignity to be embarrassed to stand in public and assert an “unalienable right” to mooch from the productive segment of society. Clearly an orchestrated event, this overhyped exhibition could never have gotten even as far as it has without massive behind the scenes effort and funding from organizations such as ACORN (regardless of whatever name its members currently claim). Nor can it continue without a massive and ongoing infusion of money and effort from its subversive sponsors. And so the protestors continue, with increasing ferocity, making their demands. All the while, they remain unaware of the one indisputable truth of a cancer, namely the absolute impossibility, under any circumstances, that it could ever outlive its host. So in the end, the “Occupy Wall Street” circus will go the way of “Air America.”

In the meantime, its abhorrent ugliness must be inextricably linked to its philosophical allies in the Democrat party, where the concept was originally spawned.

Left Protests: "Obama is NOT Stupid!"

How cool is this? We have them so on the run they're wasting time trying to defend Øbama against accusations of being stupid and incompetent!

Wow, what a difference 3 years make, eh?

Remember just the other day, he was the Light Bringer...oh, wait...that's Lucifer...

...well you know what I mean.

Now they're reduced to calling the Tea Party Patriots "terrorists"...and protesting that Øbama is not stupid...rather than dismissing us and praising the One as the most intelligent, masterful, charismatic, articulate, educated president in history.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

And oh how the formerly meek have inherited the earth.

Open Letter to Congressman Steny Hoyer, by Roger Simon

Dear Congressman Hoyer,

I have read your statement asking Republicans to condemn threats of violence that have been made toward Democratic representatives in the aftermath of the passage of the health care bill.

I am a registered Democrat, but since I have voted (mostly) Republican in recent years, let me assure you that I unequivocally condemn those threats and any possible acts of violence taken in response to the bill. That is not even remotely the way to settle such political disputes. Such things must be handled at the ballot box.

That said, and for similar reasons, I also unequivocally condemn the actions of the Democratic Party in running roughshod over the clear will of the American people. Every poll taken in proximity of the vote showed our citizenry in substantial opposition to the global health care reform being pushed through Congress by you, Speaker Pelosi and the administration.

And yet, in the grand tradition of totalitarian regimes everywhere, you employed “any means necessary” to make sure your ends were achieved, bribing and threatening your fellow Congressmen and women, etc. It is small wonder that our people are angry. It would be amazing if it were otherwise.

You have reaped a whirlwind by subverting a democracy. Now you must deal with it. The Democratic Party is no longer “progressive” or “liberal.” It is reactionary. And you and your cohorts have forever defined yourselves as reactionary politicians.

Violence is to be condemned, but so is the desecration of a great democracy.

John Dingell, Sr.), made an amazing admission during a live telephone interview with Detroit WJR News/Talk 760 radio talk show host Paul W. Smith on Smith's show Monday morning, March 22, 2010. The night before, Dingell had been a featured speaker at the Democrat Congressional leadership victory press conference after Obamacare passed the House.

In response to a question posed by Smith, Dingell said:

"Let me remind you this [Americans allegedly dying because of lack of universal health care] has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you're going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people."

The comment by Dingell begins 6 minutes 23 seconds into the twelve minute-long podcast of his interview on Smith's radio show. The podcast is titled "Congressman John Dingell tells Paul W. These little blurts of truth are popping up all over the place. Let's not let one of them get away unexploited!

Glenn Beck said the Democrat Party has been consumed by the "malignant tumor" that is its Progressive caucus, and has given birth to the Socialist Party. (So graphic and delightful!)

Dennis Prager concurs (separately) and says we ought to call the Democrats the "Social Democrats" as the same sort of people are called in Europe. And only return to referring to them as Democrats when they abandon their love affair with Marxism.

I like Glenn's better only because nobody has to translate to Americans that "Social Democrats" MEANS "Socialists".

It's the Progressives that use words to obfuscate. Let's always use them to clarify.

Clearly it's been too long since I checked in at the Weekly Standard. This is a great article...and I don't even recognize the name of the author: Dead-Congress Walking, by Noemie Emery.

I just worry it's like when the zombie eats the brain of the hero with his last gasp, then croaks. Sure, the zombie's dead...but he took the good guy down with him.

She (he?) concludes:

"Liberals say Democrats have to pass this bill to prove they can govern. But will the public see wasting a year on something that’s not a priority, then pushing a bill they don’t want through multiple payoffs, and ending up with something they think will make their lives worse as a species of “governing” they want anything more to do with? Meanwhile, the Democrats are in the intensive care unit, their president wounded, their members demoralized, their coalition in tatters. Come November, voters may decide they’d rather be much less “governed”—or governed by somebody else."

You have to have mad cow disease for this to make any sense.

The Simple Difference

Dennis Prager says it simply. And it's the fundamental truth we all need to recognize. Especially regular, everyday Democrats who, so far, refuse to believe it.

"They would be wrong not because the Democratic party and the president are economic illiterates or bad individuals, but because the Democratic party and the president are leftists, and most Americans, including most Democrats, do not understand the Left. They may understand liberalism, but President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and most Democratic representatives and senators are not liberals; they are leftists. Few Americans understand the difference...

And there you pretty much have it. What you, me, and Glenn Beck have been trying to get everyone to understand for years.

The Left is not we. They are not Americans...in that America is an IDEA. They are anti-American, in that they repudiate the most fundamental components of the Idea that is America: Limited Government, Individual Liberty, Fiscal Responsibility, a Free Market.

How much clearer can we be, people??

Words of Wisdom

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president. --unknown (but smart!)

Depressing but true.

On the other hand, people seem to be waking up from their Progressive-Opium hallucination. It's up to us to keep the awakening and education going.

Sucks, I know. But we were cursed with living in "interesting times".

Reid  & Co. are not yet done gaming the system. Check it out. Not only are they creating an Imperial State for us all to genuflect to, they're attempting to make it permanent....against the wishes of the current electorate, and all future Congresses.

These assholes simply will not stop. They're acting like The Terminator.

Reid the Gray included this language in the bill:

"it shall not be in order in the senate or the house of representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment, or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection."

Time to get Medieval on them.

The Jobless "Recovery"

 Not only are people continuing to lose jobs in this "recovery", in California small business closings are up 81%.

And here's a headline I know shocks everyone: "Recovery not as strong as previously thought." (Though I'm not sure the writer of the the story under it has a clue.)

If I hear one more word about how we're out of the woods and into a new rising economy in America, my head's going to explode.

Lies, lies, lies. Praising Bernanke, applauding themselves from podiums all over Washington D.C., the Liberal elite are trying to convince starving Americans that life is just great.

Are you going to believe them or your lying growling stomach?

Meanwhile, in order to help FIX the economy, they're raising the debt ceiling in the short therm, so they'll have time to get together and figure out how much MORE to raise the debt ceiling for the long term.

To Liberals, this is called "fixing the economy". At least for the purposes of getting re-elected. And for those purposes, truth is the first casualty.

And he makes it clear that he will vote against any Senate bill that includes any of these.
