"Right Wing Violence" - A Response to Media Coverage

I would like to address the issue of media hysteria in spreading fear of "Right Wing" violence against Democrats who voted for or supported ObamaCare.

Considering the unconscionable, actual, documented, serious, bloody and brutal violence perpetrated against Patriots attending Town Hall meetings recently and the minimal, even dismissive way it was covered in the Press, we find it sadly ironic (but predictable) that wild, unsubstantiated rumors, demonstrably false reports and debunked accusations of violence by "Right Wing Radicals goaded on by Republicans" should be covered endlessly and breathlessly by the Mainstream Media.

It goes without saying that Patriot organizations consider violence in the name of ideology and politics unsavory and unacceptable, no matter WHO is involved.

But it is clear by the howling and overblown reports sans facts that this current "reporting" is less about "news" than propaganda—with the object of making the public believe that the patriotic dissent of those who are against the passage of ObamaCare, is somehow unreasonable and dangerous.

But it is rather the biased, ecstatic, uncorroborated reportage that is objectionable and unseemly. And we believe that a Party or a Press that would use such tactics against a political opponent to be most emphatically DANGEROUS to our American political and social system - to every citizen's Constitutional right of free speech, free expression, and political dissent.

As the Left lectured us for the entire eight years of George W. Bush's presidency: DISSENT IS PATRIOTIC!

Even when it's loud, angry, boisterous and passionate.

In this piece, he describes the genius of Andrew Breitbart, while at the same time disparaging him because he doesn't do things according to the "rules" of "journalism"....

WTF?

So...savor the real story, inside the story...Brietbart's brilliance...and celebrate that he's on our side...and ignore Taranto's pathetic defense of the indefensible "mainstream" Media - even as he describes in detail their total malfeasance on the ACORN story (a single instance in a decades-long parade of misrepresentation).

The story reads like admiration and a little hero-worship of Brietbart...up until Taranto seems to come to his "politically correct" senses and realizes he can't SAY that...so he winds up attempting to diminish Breitbart, and trying to polish the stinking, sticky, soft, corrupt rotten apple of today's "journalism".

A classic of soft and squishy "conservatism". Lindsey Graham and John McCain would be proud

I see that both writer and the reader understand what the punditry don't. You can't judge Palin by the crass and corrupt standards of the average (venal) politician. Like it or not, you inside-the-beltway-vipers, she's as different from you as angels are from bed-bugs.

Don't even try to understand. Your heads will explode from the effort.

I take Sarah Palin at her word. It would be irresponsible for her as governor to remain in office while relentless, scurrilous and unfounded attacks against her, merely for existing, are wasting taxpayers dollars to defend. The state government cannot function if its resources are being used to counter frivolous accusations against the governor, rather than the business of the state.

I admire Sarah Palin. And I do not get the vitriol hurled against her. She's just a small town girl who made good. What's the problem with that?

Oh, yeah, that's right, John McCain and the Republican establishment. I could not and did not vote for the man. All he's ever done is make a career out of criticizing conservatives and making deals with liberals. Palin drew monster crowds and gave him at least 20 points in the election. Without her, he would have been slaughtered.

So for him to allow his surrogates to trash her is indefensible and indicative of the total lack of respect he deserves. The same goes for the Republican establishment and its lame pundits. They're all nothing but a bunch of classless jerks and losers.

I supported, campaigned for, contributed to, and voted for the Republican party for 25 years. But I'll never vote for another Republican again, not until the gutless wonders who run the party are driven out.

I'm not going to speculate on Palin's political future. The decision she made was in the best interests of her family and her state.

I will however speculate on the Republican party's future. It will go the way of the Whigs. And good riddance to that.

Can I get an "Amen" for the brother? I particularly agree with that last line.

Fair warning: Now that I have accepted the fact of my disassociation with the Republicans, I will probably be more cruel & critical of them than usual—for a while at least. It's a natural reaction—like bad-mouthing the asshole boyfriend you finally broke up with.

Considering that free citizens can only remain free if we make good decisions, and we can only make good decisions if we have good intel, the Lying Bloody Whores of the Mainstream Media are literally undermining the Republic.

"National Journal's respected correspondent Stuart Taylor wrote, 'The media can no longer be trusted to provide accurate and fair campaign reporting and analysis.' "

This will not come as surprise. Only confirmation that Big Media in America can no longer be trusted to tell the truth. And when you think about it, it's cataclysmic.

The implications for our well-being are staggering.

Obie the Precious is offered to us without flaw. But the man we will get, should he be elected, is a hollow and puerile and dangerous one.

So often, Conservatives are accused of "lying" about Global Warming and it's implications. We answer that we too have children we love, that we don't want to inherit a sick planet. We care about air and water and all growing things, but just do not believe that Global Warming is TRUE!

I can't explain, however what the members of the Press are thinking when they patently lie and coverup for a political Party and candidate. Do they think that the loss of all credibility by the Media, that the advancing of propaganda over truth will produce a better world? Don't they have children they love? Don't they understand the poison they are injecting into the world by actively supporting the suppression of truth and integrity.

It has been clear for a long time that Modern Liberals, like their predecessors and intellectual godfathers, the Communists/Fascists believe the end justifies any means, but it's still shocking to find that they are willing to abandon all honor and virtue in order to concoct a lie in order to install an unfit man as leader of their own country.

One cannot fathom what benefit they imagine it will bring.

It would be at least marginally different if they, having exposed and examined the life, the associations, the policies, the mistakes, the limit or expansiveness of knowledge and experience of a candidate, found him their favorite choice because they really believed he was the best man for the job.

But to propagandize, to cheat, to lie for, to assassinate the character of opponents of a man about whom they know almost nothing...or refuse to reveal what they do know because he would be soundly rejected by serious voters...is beyond my understanding.

What do they hope to accomplish? What is the pay-off? Nothing more than the first Black president?

Don't they know that the first Black President, fair or not, like it or not, has to be brilliant? Has to be much better than the 43 White men he follows? And yet, they advance this empty, hollow, unprepared, unskilled, inexperienced man for the job, whom they insist is the best thing since Jesus.

Have they considered the reaction when the depth of his unpreparedness is revealed by his own actions and failures—when real consequences follow that cannot be hidden or explained away by a biased editorial?

It may be that there are simply no longer any adults in Big Media; that it is as juvenile and jejune as the rest of the Left, completely incapable of anticipating results or understanding consequences.

Perhaps the thrill of being party to the "historic" even of electing a "Black" President is, literally, as far as any of them have bothered to think.

Big Media, either way, has proven itself stupid, incompetent and malicious—at best.

We have to make sure they are not allowed to re-establish an information monopoly via the "Fairness Doctrine". It's damn near as important as protecting the Second Amendment. And believe me when I tell you—for me...that's saying something!

Truth is a Weapon as surely as an AK-47 is.

Remember when people rolled their eyes when we said it? Remember when people accused us of just being sore losers because the media reported fair and square and we always came out looking bad?

My how things have changed.

Most people in the country now believe that the media are in the tank for candidates...that they are biased and trying to make their candidate look good and their opponent look bad.

All those puff pieces about Obie were not, apparently, quite as effective as the Media believed and hoped. They merely contributed to the realization by almost everyone, that they are trying like hell to get Obie elected. Unintended consequenses.

It may take us a while, but eventually Americans figure it out.

Media Bubble, Sept. 2 -- Embattled former beauty queen Sarah Palin* continued to wilt yesterday under the pressure of numerous fair, evenhanded media questions regarding the alleged state of "Alaska." Palin has claimed to be "governor" of the legendary northern land mass, which, while heretofore undiscovered by explorers, was once rumored to contain vast expanses rich with oil, gold, and "eski-mos."

Palin first made the "Alaska" claim during an Aug. 29 public appearance alongside elderly, mean-looking cancer victim John McCain. McCain, a white man with even whiter hair, has long publicly blocked efforts by Barack Obama, a youthful black man with a certain indefinable aura about him, to move into Obama's new house. Palin, also white-skinned, has been linked to the McCain offensive.

After four days of telling silence from the McCain camp, Palin finally deigned to reappear in public yesterday. In a followup press conference, Palin, who is a girl, lashed out at the media.

"Listen to me: Alaska. Is. A. State. Seriously. The 49th state, in fact. Way up north there. What, did somebody go around your newsrooms and hide all the maps underneath the ethics manuals? Or are you idiots just completely insane?"

Shaking her head in a transparent attempt to feign exasperation, Palin -- who is perhaps not as pretty as she thinks she is -- then left the podium without answering followup questions regarding her plagiarism of CBS's Northern Exposure.

Internet reaction to the unfit mother's unhinged rant was swift. Andrew Sullivan, right-wing blogger for The Atlantic, saw Palin's comments as a major misstep. "She's working the refs. This is what they do. Sure, blame the media. Is it their fault she's too chicken to back up these suspicious claims?

"Look, I'm willing to entertain the idea that there really is a place called 'Alaska.' We've all heard the old wives' tales, and I've dreamed about such a rugged, outdoorsy paradise since I was about 13 or 14. But why is she so afraid to give us some proof? I mean, I've never been there, have you?"

Yukon Cornelius could not be reached for comment.

Update: After consultation with the Association of American Geographers and several DC-area kindergarten students, the Washington Post can now report that many current world maps contain a small area in the northwest corner of North America labeled "Alaska." Palin's relationship with the mapmaking industry is currently under investigation.

Oh...and by the way, did you know that the teleprompter malfunctioned during her speech? The operator didn't, or couldn't, pause it during the long interruptions by applause. It soon became uselessly out of sinc with what she was actually saying. (From Rush this morning) SHE NEEDED TO DO IT ON HER OWN....WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE TELEPROMPTER—FOR HER FIRST, NATIONWIDE, CRITICAL TEST.

And she did it with grace, style, humor and intelligence. She handled a crisis—and it could have been a disaster— like she's been doing it all her life...without even breaking a sweat. And I didn't hear a single "uh" or "um" come out of her mouth.

We've seen what happens to Obie's "eloquence" when he doesn't have a script.

There's just no comparison.

But Libboys, keep talking out your asses. You just continue to make Sarah look better, and Obie look worse. You're making this just too easy.
