Answering Anon's Question

Anon left a comment, asking what my thoughts were on the possibility of secession. Those who read this blog regularly, will know that I've written on the subject before, and at some length. But I'd like to take this opportunity to revisit it for Anon...and others who perhaps haven't heard my point of view...I'll be brief.

The difference between any historical "then" and now, is that we've never faced anything like what's going on in our nation today. Ever.

We have a "President" who has every intention of transforming America from the land of the free and the home of the brave, from a marketplace of capitalists and individualists into another failed prison of a "people's paradise"...with a side of racism.

Barack Øbama is a fascist racist. He seeks to control finance, business, medicine, energy and every possible aspect of our lives, because he, the great "enlightened one", knows better.

He is the President of the United States and he despises our heritage, our history, our founding documents, our form of government, our liberty, our rights...and if we're white...us.

He is the President of the United States, the most powerful man on earth... and he is a Progressive/Marxist/Fasist/Racist Revolutionary who believes that it is the right of the "Elite", of which he is a member, to RULE the "common people" who are too stupid to have the right to make decisions about their own lives, because they often make ones not in accord with the wishes of that same elite who....Know Better.

Barack Obama and his coterie are evil. They are literally the Dark Lord's minions. They serve the Lord of the Flies. They are Loki's servants. They are tools of the Devil. (Take your choice).

We face the most dangerous time in our country. If we are not alert, if we don't fight, if we don't resist, if we don't decide to risk it all for liberty, he will literally make us into a Banana Republic, just like his buddy, Hugo Chavez, has done to Venezuela - a formerly thriving democracy.

In light of this, secession is not a very radical solution.

I believe that if we don't stop Øbama's agenda, change the balance of power in 2010, make him a lame duck before the end of this year, and boot him out of office under a cloud in 2012...it will end in blood—unless—those of us who refuse to become serfs of an Imperial State are allowed to separate ourselves from the Brave New World Øbama is creating.

There are people who are unwilling to face the reality of this man's depth of evil. It's almost impossible to conceive that this sort of thing could be happening here in America. But if you were listening, and if you are paying attention, there is no other explanation that fits the facts.

To ruin the free market, to ruin health care, to increase debt, to increase unemployment, to increase external dangers from Iran/China/North Korea, to increase taxes during a recession, to pit blacks against whites, the poor against the "rich", the worker against his employer...these are intentional actions—meant to create fear, hate and chaos. They're meant to divide us so that we are easier to conquer.

They can be no other explanation for anyone with even a modicum of common sense, because, none of his programs can possibly do what he pretends they are meant to do. You can't fix debt by spending, you can't encourage competition & excellence & prosperity by bailing out failures, you can't ensure good health by rationing medicine, you can't help the economy by raising taxes, and you can't get people working by destroying businesses and employers.

Even Øbama is not that stupid. This is an intense, serious, prolonged, assault on the security and the prosperity of our nation and its people. Happy, safe and wealthy people don't generally embrace dictators. But frightened, insecure, miserable, sick, hopeless people are much more likely to.

But, it is my belief that no matter how bad things get, there are sections of this country, and citizens everywhere who will not go gently into that good night.

I am one.

As I see it, these are the options:

Option 1)
We stop Øbama and his fascist brownshirts and dismantle the Imperial State (which has been growing while we wolves have been sleeping like sheep - for decades)

Option 2)
We don't stop them and they destroy our Republic and institute a Marxist/Fascist "people's paradise" and they allow those people who resist to leave to secede peacefully and found a separate New America.

Option 3)
We don't stop them and they destroy our Republic and institute a Marxist/Fascist "people's paradise" and they don't allow us to leave peacefully. In which case either a) we fight our way out of his totalitarian state and found a separate, New America; or b) we take the fight to Washington in an actual Second American Revolution and drain the entire Swamp of Vipers.

Restoration, Secession or Revolution. Those are our only options...because government of the people, by the people and for the people is on the brink of perishing from the earth.

I don't how it will come down. I don't know who will make the first move. I don't know which section of the country will finally have had enough. But, because I believe in the American Spirit, I know it will happen if it must. Where will that second shot "heard round the world" ring out?

It might be at my house if they come to take my guns. It might be when they outlaw Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. It might be when they seize your house. It might be when they force a union on employees who don't want one. It might be when the National Guard, or that Marine refuses to fire on fellow citizens or enforce unjust laws. It might be when local police refuse to confiscate guns.

But American Citizens will make a stand. The only question is, will it be peaceful or otherwise.

That's why it's so important we do what we can do NOW, while peace still has a chance. It's by far, the best option. Resistance doesn't necessarily imply violence. And it is definitely time for resistence!

But rather, the issue is one of JURISDICTION: in other words, who has the power to act on behalf of and in compliance with the Sovereign? The issue of jurisdiction is so important because it acknowledges that since the Sovereign has "paramount authority" in government, any powers that are granted from the Sovereign to government are to remain within that grant of authority.

Put another way, the States can no more grant authority to the Federal government against the will of the Sovereign--the people--than the Executive branch of the Federal government can give to the Judiciary branch the powers that we the people granted to it alone. To deny that such a grant exists or conversely to ignore the limitations placed on the governments by the Sovereign is to suggest that tyranny is a lawful act and that it must be complied with. America's founders would have considered such a political theory to be treasonous. Do we the people think so seriously of the matter? According to recent events, the answer to this question will likely be answered sooner than later.

And I must admit, my insistence that we THROW ALL THE BUMS out of Congress will negatively affect some whom we would rather keep.

Here is one of those...at least insofar as he proposed this: Congressmen Who Vote for Government-Run Health Care Agency Should Be Its First Customers

CNSNews.com) – Rep. John Fleming (R-La.) introduced a bill Monday that urges members of Congress who vote to create a government-run health insurance agency to give up their own comprehensive health insurance plans to join the new the public option they advocate for others.

The bill, H. Res. 615, says members of Congress who vote for a government-run health care bureau should become the inaugural customers of government-run health-care.

“That it is the sense of the House of Representatives that Members who vote in favor of the establishment of a public, federal government run health insurance option are urged to forgo their right to participate in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP) and agree to enroll under that public option,” the resolution reads.

Fleming said he offered the non-binding resolution after he found out that under both the House and Senate proposals, members of Congress and other federal government employees will not have to participate in the planned health insurance exchanges for at least five years.

After five years, they still do not have to participate in the exchanges if they do not want to, while every other American must have a plan that conforms to the government’s rules, Fleming added.

Of course, this good man cannot be allowed to stop our campaign to clean out the Vipers, by voting EVERY INCUMBENT OUT of Congress. The very nature of the outrage that Fleming is protesting proves beyond doubt that they have to be purged.

After we teach them a lesson, we can return the good ones to office, having taught them all that they actually do work for us — and that those words are not just a rhetorical convention used to placate the slumbering sheep.

Among what politicians believe is a meek and sleepy herd of sheep, it turns out there is a pack of ravenous wolves...who are on their scent.

Democratic Leader Laughs at Idea That House Members Would Actually Read Health-Care Bill Before Voting On It

I don't care who you are. I don't care what side you're on. I don't care what planet you're from, or what snakes you handle to honor your gods...this is not okay.

It isn't irritating or annoying, or outrageous. It's unthinkable. It's oath-breaking. It should be actionable.
It should be treason. It should carry the death sentence.

And this cocksucker is laughing about it.

How is it possible that people entrusted with the faith of their fellows, and charged with the defense and protection of the Constitution, can so disrespect both to the extent that they would willy-nilly pass bills that will profoundly affect the citizens and the nation, without even knowing what they are committing them to?

They are passing LAWS; laws to be enforced by the violence of the State if they are disobeyed. They are creating laws and regulations that could cost people their freedom, their fortunes, their lives, their livelihoods, and they can't be bothered to know what they are?

This Congress is changing America from a Republic of Free Citizens to a nation of Serfs ruled by an Imperial State...and publicly jokes about its ignorance of the documents that are effecting this destruction, and establishing this slavery?

I am not laughing. Indeed, I am uncharacteristically quiet. I am beyond rage and raving.

This is deadly, silent fury.

It is impossible that Free Men should tolerate this.

Hercules had to clean out the Augean stables. It was a big dirty job. But not bigger and dirtier than cleaning out Congress. It's time to drain the shit-hole that is Congress (and the entire Federal Government) and restore our Republic...

Remember These Words...

From the Declaration of States' Rights

As such when the Federal Government exceeds its delegated powers or fails to execute its specified duties and states fail to exercise their rights under the compact of the Constitution the right of The People to abolish those governments and institute new governments is inalienable.


With all the things the Federal Government has done, much might be undone if a President with a different agenda is elected in 2012. But if Cap & Tax, and Socialized Medicine are instituted, there will be no going back, because not only will those policies destroy what they pretend to fix, but they will change the structure of our government from one of self-government to government by experts, bureaucrats, czars and the imperial Presidency.

Once our current healthcare system is destroyed in order to establish a socialist version, it will be almost impossible to go back. Medical schools will not be graduating as many doctors, scientific research and advancements in drugs and medicine will have stopped, and all mechanisms and infrastructure upon which they depend will have been dismantled.

Reinventing it all, rebuilding it all, and rooting out all the invasive weeds of a socialist system will be nigh impossible.

The same is true of the Nationalization of Energy. Coal companies will go out of business, along with oil and natural gas companies. Innovation and exploration will come to an end. Wind and Solar cannot provide the required 20% of our current use...the only way to meet that quota is to produce so much less energy that the current output of wind and solar equals 20% of the (new, much lower) total. That will, by necessity require rationing...or prices so astronomically high that we "self-ration".

There is no form of energy that is set to take up the slack. This government will not drill our oil, it will not allow coal plants, it will not allow nuclear plants...solar and wind provide minuscule amounts of energy and will never make up losses we will experience with the huge tax on carbon energy.

Rebuilding the energy infrastructure will also be difficult after the destruction of all but the biggest, most bloated, subsidized, inefficient quasi-government providers have been ruined.

If we can manage to avoid the tragedy of Cap & Tax and Øbamacare, we might be able to turn this mess around. If we cannot stop the criminals in Washington from creating a monstrous and tyrannous government with the mandate and power to interfere in every corner of our lives, the secession/revolution (hopefully peaceful) will be the only answer.

Mr. Celente puts part of the blame squarely on the federal government, and especially FED Chairman Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Geithner, and warns us not to believe a word they say “They’re the same people who didn't see it coming - are now telling us the worst is over, that ‘green shoots are spouting upwards’. But they were wrong before. They’re wrong on this too”.

“When you pump out tons of money manure into this system based on nothing – printing press paper, it’s like giving a patient with a chronic disease a pain killer -- it won’t cure the patient.”

“But let’s go beyond the economics. Our whole Constitution has been abrogated. The president simply writes an Executive Order to do whatever he wants. Nationalize the banks, take over the insurance industry, automobile industry, health care industry…

The Chattanooga Declaration was drafted and approved by delegates to the Second North American Secessionist Convention on 4 October 2007.

A New Confederacy?

Secession may be the only answer.

Steven Laib at Intellectual Conservative lays out the case that it is Constitutional.

A lot of readers may ask why this particular case of relevant today. The answer lies in the fact that the subject is now being discussed again by many citizens to a degree not experienced since 1860. There is a good reason for it. The overbearing attitude of the federal government which is trampling on and attempting to further trample on the rights of the states and the citizens makes many patriotic individuals wonder whether or not the only way to save the USA is to destroy it and rebuild it in the image of what the founders intended in 1789. If all of the states all broke of and left the feds hanging as a government without a country, it would present a singular problem for those who want to wield power. Of course, there are many individuals who put down this idea for various reasons. Some go so far as to assert that states cannot secede. These people are wrong, at least within the bounds of U.S. Constitutional law...

The Tenth Amendment

The simple fact is that the four corners of the document do not contain any reference whatsoever to the subject of a state leaving the Union. There is no permission, nor is there any prohibition. This lack leads us to look at the Tenth Amendment, which states that any powers not delegated to the Federal Government are reserved to the States or to the people. It should thus be incontrovertible that the power to leave the Union is a reserved power specifically held by the States or people under the Tenth Amendment. Recall that the people of the State of Texas voted to secede in a statewide election and that the election was held at the behest of the state legislature. In seceding Texas could very easily be seen as simply exercising a constitutional power reserved for it by the Tenth Amendment.
I don't need to be convinced. The Constitution is a contract one of the parties of which—the Federal Government—has failed to live up to. There cannot be any argument that the Federal Government has far over-reached it's Constitutional mandate, and flagrantly ignored its Constitutional limitations.

I do not feel required to honor the Constitution with regard to my relationship to the Federal Government when the Federal Government does not honor it in its relationship to me!

The government cannot be allowed to violate the Constitution whenever it's convenient to gain illegal power over citizens and States, and then insist on precise adherence to it to prevent citizens or States from reclaiming their own legal power.

It will not stand. No matter what the Supreme Court says.

Remember, the Supreme Court is part of the same Federal Government that is out of control and trampling the rights of its citizens and States. It's time we citizens and States recognize that its legitimacy rests on the Constitutionality of its decisions, not the other way around!

The recent Kelo [correction*] case, in which the Court legitimized the taking of private property at the whim of government officials, is a prime example of a decision that was clearly unconstitutional, undermining our most basic freedoms which rest on the sacred inviolability of Private Property.

Like any other branch of the Federal Government, the Court only retains legitimacy as long as it operates within the strict bounds of its Constitutional mandate—and interprets law according to the strict and limited intentions of it. And it has long since violated them in every conceivable way. It is only the habit of tradition that has prevented citizens and States from declaring them outlaws.

And that time of indulgence may be coming to an end. Faster than anyone imagined.

Begone Satans!

More (unnecessary) proof that all current politicians are scum:

Mrs. (Representative John) Conyers pleads guilty of bribery. In a probe of corruption and crime at Detroit City Hall.

I shocked....SHOCKED!

I suppose, given that he is a powerful Democrat, her husband, John, will deflect all blame, and no one among his criminal conspirators, the U.S. House of Representatives, will concede that he might have any idea whatsoever of his wife's character, criminality or activities.

Of this, no doubt, we may rest assured.

It's so pleasant to imagine that people who are either so villainous as to not prevent their own spouses from committing felonies...or so oblivious as to be unaware that they are doing so, are in positions of power to determine the fate of our nation.

This imminently and predictably acclaimed clueless fool is Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. I'm sure I trust his judgment and observational skills when recommending another treacherous woman, Sotomayor, as a great SCOTUS nominee.

UPDATE: Correction. It is, of course, the SENATE Judiciary Committee that deals with nominees for SCOTUS. Conyers' HOUSE committee deals with government CORRUPTION!

The irony is almost seizure inducing.

I'd have to say the fact that he doesn't notice or care that it's going on by people in his bedroom, does not recommend him as the one to investigate or notice it might be going on at the office.

I can think of no other answer than to sweep them all out of power. Every single one.

Does a week pass that does not provide revelations of more perfidy by our "public servants"?

Off With Their Heads!

Will the Congress be stupid enough to vote to ruin the economy...in a recession?

Will Nancy Pelosi —who is anxious to pass Cap & Tax—pay for this stupidity?

Will the vile Progressives, both (D) and (R) be cast out of office once people figure out that their outgo has doubled while their incomes have stayed the same...if they're lucky enough to be still working?

Heritage Foundation estimates that household electric bills will go up by 90% percent.

That's DOUBLE. And, of course, every single other industry's bills will go up just as much or more. Of course they'll pass the costs onto their customers...right on down the line under it ends with us lucky consumers.

Oh...one more thing.

Ethanol farmers will be exempt.

Think that one through for a minute.

If farmers grow corn as food for human beings (or livestock) they will be shafted by taxes. If they grow corn for fuel (a fuel that doesn't work) they will be exempt from taxes.

What do you suppose corn farmers will choose to grow?

What do you suppose wheat farmers will choose to grow? Remember, wheat farmers won't get an exemption either, or barley farmers, or soy bean farmers, or...

What will the Fed's do when no farmers grow food crops?

Well, they'll either let the jackboots force the farmers to do as they are bid by the House of Lords, or they'll get their exemptions, too.

And the rest of us will have to make up the difference....

This is out and out citizen abuse. This is assault and battery. This is outright tyranny.

If they pass this monstrosity, I want every one who voted for it clapped in irons.

Enough is enough.

We are Going!

I know I am.

I don't think the Federal Government (or most of the "Liberal" States' governments) are fixable. No "reform" can be massive enough to bring us back to our original form of government. There are too many Progressives in the current government, and among the "elite" and the Cult Media, in Education and in the Law to ever allow the citizens' majority consensus that the Federal Government must be brought under control and be limited by the Constitution to be implemented.

We are, in a word, no longer self-governed. Government in America is no longer "of the people, by the people and for the people". We are governed by a class of Lords to whom the laws, regulations, limitations, intrusions they foist on us do not apply.

They are above the law, above the common man. They are the experts, the intellectual, the more civilized, the more cultured, the anointed elite, who have a right to rule us.

Just ask them.

It cannot be fixed. They are too entrenched. They have created a maze and tangle that no reform can penetrate. The current government of the United States is like a body riddled with cancer that has invaded and compromised every organ.

I think the only way to reclaim our Constitution rights, and establish a government that lives within its proper limitations, is to leave this crippled, bankrupt and corrupt body.

An article by Gary Barnett: Conspiracy, Census and the Case for Secession has some very good arguments. Again, the large size of a country is identified as a characteristic that works against individual liberty.

It is a relatively new idea for me. But this is the second thoughtful writer to bring it up, and I feel as though it should have been so obvious!

"Let’s face it; this country has become too large for freedom to survive under its present form of government. Instead of freedom, we now have socialism, fascism and tyranny. So what can be done about it? I think there is only one logical answer: Secession!

Secession should not be feared but embraced. Our country was borne by secession and in my opinion can only be saved by secession. Secession in my mind is an inherent, God-given right. If one is bound by or to the state by force, freedom has no validity and cannot exist. Secession is the virtual unbinding of the chains of tyranny. It is the emancipation if you will, from the servitude of the state and awakens the spirit of liberty. What better solution is there when extreme conditions exist? "

The byzantine leviathan that is the Federal Government—made ever worse every day Øbama and his fellow swamp-dwelling vipers are in office—is beyond any human effort to unravel or reform.

It can only be abandoned, left to die of its own corruption. Like the diseased carcase of a beached whale.

I am beginning to feel that secession may be our only hope.

Why am I not surprised.

As is to be expected, the Statists are working feverishly inventing ever more ways to undermine local authority.

It's In The Air...

Is American Thinker's George Joyce thinking Anti-Federalists thoughts too?


"A failed presidency for Barack Obama could turn into liberalism's worst nightmare. Barely six months into his term, the 44th president has succeeded in generating the most widespread and serious discussion of secession since the Civil War. Despite what Newsweek's Evan Thomas may claim, Obama is not the "God" who will bring us together but the autocratic sponsor of an overbearing, oppressive leviathan from which a growing number of Americans are seeking refuge.

That refuge, according to author Paul Starobin, will come in the form of several regional republics that reflect the diverse character of Americans no longer bound in any meaningful way by our unrecognizable Federal government."


He also references the Wall Street Journal Article (see the previous post), and among other observations, adds:

"Maybe this is why Starobin claims to be witnessing a lot of neo-secessionist activity. Wouldn't a new American devolution however be a liberal's worst nightmare? Beyond the psychosis most liberals would have to endure at the thought of losing any kind of control, the prospect of vibrant, happy, and successful conservative republics in places like Texas, South Carolina or Utah would be an inescapable spotlight forever exposing the failure of liberal ideology in a Republic of California."
Nicely done, Mr. Joyce...nicely done, indeed.
