Secession - Our Only Hope?

An article by Gary Barnett: Conspiracy, Census and the Case for Secession has some very good arguments. Again, the large size of a country is identified as a characteristic that works against individual liberty.

It is a relatively new idea for me. But this is the second thoughtful writer to bring it up, and I feel as though it should have been so obvious!

"Let’s face it; this country has become too large for freedom to survive under its present form of government. Instead of freedom, we now have socialism, fascism and tyranny. So what can be done about it? I think there is only one logical answer: Secession!

Secession should not be feared but embraced. Our country was borne by secession and in my opinion can only be saved by secession. Secession in my mind is an inherent, God-given right. If one is bound by or to the state by force, freedom has no validity and cannot exist. Secession is the virtual unbinding of the chains of tyranny. It is the emancipation if you will, from the servitude of the state and awakens the spirit of liberty. What better solution is there when extreme conditions exist? "

The byzantine leviathan that is the Federal Government—made ever worse every day Ă˜bama and his fellow swamp-dwelling vipers are in office—is beyond any human effort to unravel or reform.

It can only be abandoned, left to die of its own corruption. Like the diseased carcase of a beached whale.

I am beginning to feel that secession may be our only hope.

  2. In this 21st-century world ("national borders" and nation state seeming to be out-moded concepts...does secession HAVE to be geographic? Maybe a silly concept, but History-me remembers this quagmire we call "social evolution" had to go thru feudal-to-nation-state birth-pangs...Or will there be relapse into tribalism? Just hop-scotching...

  3. Only for the original discovery. America went through no such process. It was born a full-blown nation...standing on the shoulders of those who came before.

We can do the same thing.

BEFORE it all relapses into Prehistoric Tribalism...

  4. Secession is an inailinble right that supercides all constitutions. It is not negotionable in that it can not be taken away by any legislation, magistrate, monarch, or armed force of a tyrant government. The laws of nature and of natures God will ultimately bring forth the tree of liberty again and again .The seeds are ever planted by the tyrants themselves. The time has come for this generation to decide for themselves if thay will live under liberty or slavery?
