Remember These Words...

From the Declaration of States' Rights

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. [Emphasis mine]

As such when the Federal Government exceeds its delegated powers or fails to execute its specified duties and states fail to exercise their rights under the compact of the Constitution the right of The People to abolish those governments and institute new governments is inalienable.


With all the things the Federal Government has done, much might be undone if a President with a different agenda is elected in 2012. But if Cap & Tax, and Socialized Medicine are instituted, there will be no going back, because not only will those policies destroy what they pretend to fix, but they will change the structure of our government from one of self-government to government by experts, bureaucrats, czars and the imperial Presidency.

Once our current healthcare system is destroyed in order to establish a socialist version, it will be almost impossible to go back. Medical schools will not be graduating as many doctors, scientific research and advancements in drugs and medicine will have stopped, and all mechanisms and infrastructure upon which they depend will have been dismantled.

Reinventing it all, rebuilding it all, and rooting out all the invasive weeds of a socialist system will be nigh impossible.

The same is true of the Nationalization of Energy. Coal companies will go out of business, along with oil and natural gas companies. Innovation and exploration will come to an end. Wind and Solar cannot provide the required 20% of our current use...the only way to meet that quota is to produce so much less energy that the current output of wind and solar equals 20% of the (new, much lower) total. That will, by necessity require rationing...or prices so astronomically high that we "self-ration".

There is no form of energy that is set to take up the slack. This government will not drill our oil, it will not allow coal plants, it will not allow nuclear plants...solar and wind provide minuscule amounts of energy and will never make up losses we will experience with the huge tax on carbon energy.

Rebuilding the energy infrastructure will also be difficult after the destruction of all but the biggest, most bloated, subsidized, inefficient quasi-government providers have been ruined.

If we can manage to avoid the tragedy of Cap & Tax and Ă˜bamacare, we might be able to turn this mess around. If we cannot stop the criminals in Washington from creating a monstrous and tyrannous government with the mandate and power to interfere in every corner of our lives, the secession/revolution (hopefully peaceful) will be the only answer.
