The Jobless "Recovery"

Not only are people continuing to lose jobs in this "recovery", in California small business closings are up 81%.

And here's a headline I know shocks everyone: "Recovery not as strong as previously thought." (Though I'm not sure the writer of the the story under it has a clue.)

If I hear one more word about how we're out of the woods and into a new rising economy in America, my head's going to explode.

Lies, lies, lies. Praising Bernanke, applauding themselves from podiums all over Washington D.C., the Liberal elite are trying to convince starving Americans that life is just great.

Are you going to believe them or your lying growling stomach?

Meanwhile, in order to help FIX the economy, they're raising the debt ceiling in the short therm, so they'll have time to get together and figure out how much MORE to raise the debt ceiling for the long term.

To Liberals, this is called "fixing the economy". At least for the purposes of getting re-elected. And for those purposes, truth is the first casualty.

God I hate them.

    Ditto.

Here's a thought, for those of us who've found ourselves jobless for the first time in our lives... how about we take their jobs? Alderman, School board, Councilmen, Mayor, State Rep... hit 'em high and hit 'em low!

They lie! They believe if they keep repeating it long enough, the sheeple will believe it.

    Come on 2010/2012!

I hope Santa leaves you a new gun and some ammo under the tree! See you after the Holidays.

  5. The rumblings of the discontented are getting louder. If they pass this travesty of a bill tonight, it will only signal the beginning of the end. I know people who are talking revolution and civil war and they aren't joking. These fucking dims have NO idea what they're up against. And all the loyal subjects in the FBI, CIA and other deoartments won't be able to stop it. People are pissed. And now president pussy is going off with the family and entourage to Hawaii for 2 weeks at our expense. Lovely. Must be nice to actually be able to afford a vacation.

  8. "Van",I've been thinking along the same lines about getting their jobs."Cary",you have a good site...you might wanna check out Doug Giles' blog (thanks,Gunny!)-he's sorta like a born-again Dennis Miller). Also,"Van" and "Nathan Ky"...I'm in the same boat re:lay-off. Highest unemployment rate for 45+ year-old workers since 1948,which agrees with my own observations about patterns (plus statistic of 80% lay-offs have been Men,at least as of 2 months ago)."skiriki", I hear the same rumblings in my own neighborhood.They/We are folks who have played by the Rules, and now we get screwed. Some will not wait until the "next election","Cary". These "legislators" have abdicated their legitimacy with their more recent actions,so some action is "high-minded",some may be "low-minded". In my imagination, which is informed by an amateur historian's studies, our Founding Fathers are rolling in their graves at the amount of Authoritarian horseshit our citizenry has put up with from the Beltway Asswipes, and their ghostly spectres merely whisper..."WTF?"...

  9. ALSO...as for "Economy not as strong as previously thought" note....Just about every friggin' week, I've noted that the "economic experts" are consistently "surprised" that their predictions don't work out. The tag "expert" used to be predicated upon SOME accuracy and vindication of their oracular ("oraculate"?) predictions. These jerks sometimes add to their predictions the caveat "on the other hand...".Dat ain't too Scientific, doncha know?Just sayin'...

  10. Very true that with our own struggles in this economy that it is sometimes hard to focus on the things in life that truly matter. However today while doing some last minute shopping today for my kids. I had a MOMENT where I remembered this, there are people alot of good people fellow Americans in this Country alot worse off than me. As I came out the store I placed money in the bell ringers bucket and wished him a Merry Christmas not happy holidays as the politically correct say as not to offend anyone. The basic fundamentals and morales that alot of us were raised with like compassion for the less fortunate is something the goverment has exploited to the point, where we sometimes become callused to giving, when all the goverment does is continue to take from us. We forget that there are still some good charitable orginizations out there that help good people in our Country that are down on their luck due to no fault of their own. I would ask that all of you to try and remember this as we go through tough times together This Country is Great due to the citizens that live here do not let what our goverment does change you as a person keep the faith! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!

  11. I also add to the leftist living in My Country Do Not take my COMPASSION FOR MY COUNTRY AND FELLOW AMERICANS as a Weakness. IT IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE A STRENGTH! We The People are quite capable of taking care of our own without your interference. I still maintain faith in that, if you continue to tread on us sooner or later you are going to get the fangs of Freedom sank deep in your ass!

  12. Throughout middle America, empty buildings and business folks still in business are hunkering down for rough seas still ahead.

Healthcare and Cap and Trade are job killers. Deficits now completely out of control will mean painful tax increases just to pay the interest...that alone will chain our children and grandchildren to a mountain of debt.

    Obamanomics means trickle up poverty.

  13. Yeap, our country is in deep deep trouble. Small business closings are up everywhere, not just California. I've never known (personally) so many people who are unemployed...most for the first time. I also know many people who are UNDEREMPLOYED. Underemployed is a HUGE problem as well. I smell something in the air, and it doesn't smell good. R & R might be moving from Rest & Relaxation to Rebellion and Revolution. I know many people who POBAR (Pissed Off Beyond All Recognition). The times they are a changin'.
