I'm not a big fan of Pat Buchanan. But sometimes his logic is unassailable.

Can we really be this stupid? Or, rather, can our "leaders" really be that stupid?

You know, in Hell to Pay, Barbara Olson (RIP) documented that Hillary's ultimate goal, even more than the presidency (which was really to be a stepping stone) was a position with the World Bank or possibly something big with the UN; something global at any rate. Soon as she made secretary of state, I figured she didn't need the presidential stepping stone and was actually in a better position where she was. Which is probably why she's not clawing for president anymore; would be a step down.
ReplyDeleteBuchanan quite often hits the nail on the head, too. He surprised me during the 2000 election fiasco and always catches me by surprise when he does it.
ReplyDeleteYES, our "leaders" can really be this stupid,especially if they are so esoteric,they have no grounding in Reality,just Theories.Saw a Ron Paul thing on C-SPAN recently after a speech,where a youngster asked Paul how to best prepare for a political career.Ron Paul answered "Study History and Economics"...
