Tax Cuts Cost?

When discussing taxes, how often have you heard bureaucrats discussing how much tax cuts will "cost".

"How Much Tax Cuts Will Cost."

Think about that for a minute. There is a world of implications in those six words.

If your Grandmother has, for the past five years, given you $100 for your birthday, but this year only gave you $50, would you consider her to have taken $50 from you? Would you consider Grandma's gift of $50 to have cost you $50?

You would if you were the government.

To the ungrateful grandson, government, Granny's birthday gift of $100 is his money. And if she keeps some of it rather than giving it all to him, she's "cost" him money.

A grandson like that would be considered an ungrateful scumbag. But somehow we tolerate a government with the exact same mindset. It's feudalism.

The government believes that everything is theirs by right. Anything a citizen has, therefore, "costs" the government some of its rightful wealth. The more citizens keep, the more it "costs" the government.

This is the only mindset that allows a bureaucrat to form the thought that "tax cuts are costs" to government.

When Hayek talked about "The Road to Serfdom" this is what he was talking about. And we're already there. Long gone is the original American idea that men are free, that we have a right to life, liberty and property. That government should be small and weak, should be limited to a one fundamental job: to defend our individual rights.

We're so far off the mark, I dare say we are really no longer America at all. We are a new creature, bloated, lost, stupid, babbling, crippled, blind...infringing on the copyright to the name, America, only because all the original holders of it are dead.

What a shame.

  2. GS,

I wonder how much obligation a true American has to provide money to the federal government when they turn around and sponsor infanticide , constitutional infringement, seizing of private property, and general squandering of all your hard earned money.

  3. NONE!

The Federal Government is acting entirely unconstitutionally.

They are criminals. We, who recognize the Constitution as the Law of the Land, have no responsibility or duty to obey or support this outlaw government.

I do not blame the current Administration solely...we've been going in this illegal direction for decades, but this particular tyrant, has no compunction of taking it to the next step of total and naked STATE control of us all.

We are on the edge of a knife....and what we do next will decide the future of Freedom in the entire world.

    We'd better act wisely....
