The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 - The Crime of the Century. published at American Thinker—a website not known for kook, fringe opinions...
The author, Lance Fairchok, has his own website. You can check it out here. Based on this article, I want to believe he's an extremist nutcase that somehow slipped by AT's editors—and that things are not nearly this bad.
I fear he may not be.
Here's another take on The Bailout of Abominations at The Independent Institute, by Robert Higgs, who is Senior Fellow in Political Economy and editor of II's scholarly quarterly journal, The Independent Review—which can't by any stretch of the imagination be accused of being "extreme".
To wit: The Independent Institute has many admirers. Among them are:
“The Independent Institute has a well-deserved reputation for rigorous analysis of critical public policy issues and for pointing the way toward reform in government. . . I am happy to commend you for the clarity of your insights, not least those into the nature and blessings of economic freedom.”
--Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States
“The Independent Institute is a leading edge think tank offering a wide variety of powerful ideas that deal with today’s social, economic and political problems.”
--Talkers Magazine
“They win support precisely because they are not for sale.”
--The Wall Street Journal
I report. You freak out.

The first link points at the story in the previous article, which is downright frightening. Do you have the link for this article?
