I stuck with it for over an hour....

Then I just couldn't take it anymore.

My reaction: "Talk is cheap."

Then I remembered it's the Øbamster.

And HIS talk costs us trillions.

So let me rephrase....they guy's got nothin'. Recycled campaign promises....THAT HE'S ALREADY BROKEN IN FRONT OF GOD AND EVERYBODY.

He bitched about Bush.
He bitched about lobbyists...with whom he's filled his administration.
He bitched about debt and spending....are you fucking kidding me?
He bitched about education...the guy who revoked vouchers in D.C.
He bitched about earmarks...are you fucking kidding me?
He never mentioned Christmas Crotch-Boy and his terrifying 50 minute "interrogation".
He never mentioned Gitmo.
He never mentioned Terrorism.
He never mentioned civil trials for  jihadists.
He's gonna "freeze" spending for three years—spending he's increased by 20% in one year—which is, in any case, something like 17% of the annual spending spree of this government. Boy I can't wait.
He bitched about banks and bankers.

He pretended to consider nuclear power. But he said "safe" nuclear power. Which to him and his fellow travelers, doesn't exist. Parse the words.

He told us the recession is over...are you fucking kidding me?

He lied about raising taxes. I guess only INCOME taxes count as TAXES. Consumption taxes, excise taxes, fees, fines, regulation and the inflationary decrease of the worth of our money don't count to this economic ignoramus.

He proudly told us he going to ram through all the stuff we've been screaming at him to stop for a solid year.

He held a gun to the heads of Democrats and told them they'd better jump off the suicide cliff.

He shook his finger in the faces of Republicans like they've had anything to do with his year long debacle.

He scolded the Supreme Court in public—and in their faces—for upholding free speech.

Oh yeah...he set the stage for his AMNESTY bill. Another money saving policy.

Finally, I'd would like to ask one thing. I want him to stop saying "our values" like we have something in common. I believe in limited government, the Founders' principles, a Constitutional Republic, fiscal responsibility, fidelity to the Constitution, low taxes, maximum individual liberty, equality of opportunity not outcome, the rule of law, personal responsibility, self-reliance and Divine Providence. I'm pretty sure none of those are on his top ten list. We don't share "values".

In the end, I do have to admit that his speech—if nothing else he's done all year—did stimulate the economy. I had to buy extra duct tape to wrap around my head to keep it from exploding. I'll bet Home Depot got more than a little sales spike today.

Interpol: Update

I was happy to hear a panel, including Charles Krauthammer, on Fox today explain that the "immunity" that Interpol is getting will NOT mean they can run around arresting or investigating American citizens without Constitutional limitations, which is certainly what the initial fear buzz indicated.

Turns out the executive order extends to Interpol the relatively benign "immunity" that the Red Cross, and as Krauthammer said, the Swiss delegation, enjoys.

As he put it, "they won't have to pay parking tickets".

While this turns out not to warrant the somewhat breathless outrage of many bloggers, myself included, I think we can all be forgiven for leaping to the conclusions we did.

After all, Obama's track record speaks for itself, and giving a European Police Agency immunity to arrest and investigate American citizens...say....for "war crimes", is absolutely not outside the realm of possibility for the Marxist Grad Student Resident of the United States.

At least not in my opinion. 

But, at least ONE thing he's done lately will not destroy, at least in the immediate future, more liberty of American citizens.

And for this small reality, we can all be truly grateful.

Sarah Palin represents what Americans once were. She is a traditional American in a political universe of chic Europeans. That is her greatest strength. What will Sarah Palin "do" next? Ah, we can all ponder that, strategize, calculate, and gaze into our political crystal balls. But when we exercise our minds that way, we miss the point.

With no special gift for prognostication and no way of reading the mind of Mrs. Palin, I can tell you -- with as much certainty as I can say about anything in public life these days -- that Sarah Palin will do what she believes in her heart and in her soul is right.

The current Governor of South Carolina, I fear, is thinking about what will "work" in Sanford's career. Will Mark Sanford's wife stand by his side? Will the Republican Party accept Sanford? Can he win re-election? The outgoing Governor of Alaska, I sense, is looking at her life from a completely different angle.

This Tale of Two Governors is very much like the chasm in the Republican Party or, indeed, the chasm in the Republic. We do not need glib words or exciting novelties in politics or in governance.

We need honor, courage, faith, and clarity. Those virtues are not just the key to winning elections, they are the reason why winning elections matter.

I'm glad to see so many opinion pieces about Palin that are not from the "traitorous, cowardly, whore-like political class" (the Sobbering Cult Media, Democratic Vampires or Republican Cannibals).

My estrangement from the Republican Party has been coming on for some time. I think I hit the wall with the Tea Party business that I described in the previous post.

But there have been so many other issues along the way that I tried to rationalize:

The execrable treatment of Sarah Palin, the corruption and spinelessness of GOP politicians. Their weak response to Øbama, their dithering in the face of the destruction of the country.

Their continued paleo approach to activism: Attend meetings, listen to speakers, have lunch, donate, go home. Not much meat for Pissed-Off Patriots!

But, still, I haven't really wanted to leave the Party if only because changing my registration from Democrat to Republican after my 9.11 conversion was such a life-changing event for me, that I've been resisting surrendering the significance of it by leaving it.

But reality is reality. And I have come to understand that the problem with our country is the government. The government itself. And that government has been built, brick by brick, by the two party system. And both parties are responsible.

Republicans spend too much money, ignore the Constitution, engage in corruption, with almost the same degree of abandon as Democrats. They are life-time politicians who live in the Blue Bubble of Washington D.C, and worry more about their jobs than about their country...and certainly their constituents.

They don't seem to understand that people are sick to death of "politics as usual". And that includes blind Party loyalty, and a resistance to common sense.

Sarah Palin came to prominence in her state by standing up against dirty, corrupt members of her own Party. She's got guts. And she cares more about honesty and truth than Party affiliation. She's the sort of non-politician we need running for office. Running America.

Let the Cult Media and the elite pundits (including the Republican heel-snappers) expose their terror by continuing their mindless, rabid attacks on her, her family, her children, her character, her wardrobe, her high-heels and her hairdo.

How does the saying go..."When you start to get a lot of flak, you know you're over the target."

Can I register as a "Palin Patriot"?.

Even if she never runs for office again, it is her character, her honesty, her genuineness, her decency, her faith in and love of the real America that inspires.

It's also her scrappiness, her pride, her strength, her courage, her humor, her intelligence, her clarity of vision. And her absolute disdain for the self-important, so-called "elites" in Washington, New York, Hollywood...whether in politics, society or the Cult Media.

She is a woman of and for The People. (And I support that, no matter WHO carries the banner!)

And she loves Red Shoes.

For example, while I could hardly remain unaware of that late night talk show hosts insults to Sarah Palin and her young teenage daughter ... I was unaware that as late a June 9, 2009 the Left is still doing everything they can to "take down" the Beauteous Sarah.

I shocked....SHOCKED!

I suppose, given that he is a powerful Democrat, her husband, John, will deflect all blame, and no one among his criminal conspirators, the U.S. House of Representatives, will concede that he might have any idea whatsoever of his wife's character, criminality or activities.

Of this, no doubt, we may rest assured.

It's so pleasant to imagine that people who are either so villainous as to not prevent their own spouses from committing felonies...or so oblivious as to be unaware that they are doing so, are in positions of power to determine the fate of our nation.

This imminently and predictably acclaimed clueless fool is Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. I'm sure I trust his judgment and observational skills when recommending another treacherous woman, Sotomayor, as a great SCOTUS nominee.

UPDATE: Correction. It is, of course, the SENATE Judiciary Committee that deals with nominees for SCOTUS. Conyers' HOUSE committee deals with government CORRUPTION!

The irony is almost seizure inducing.

I'd have to say the fact that he doesn't notice or care that it's going on by people in his bedroom, does not recommend him as the one to investigate or notice it might be going on at the office.

I can think of no other answer than to sweep them all out of power. Every single one.

Does a week pass that does not provide revelations of more perfidy by our "public servants"?

The "Ø" in Øbama

I've been using "Ø" in Øbama's name to indicate that he's a zero, an empty suit, a gormless dork, a cream puff, a wimp, a spineless worm.

But it occurred to me that it is a good way to differentiate a lot of different words used by him and his Prøgressive/Fascist Cabal ...a sort of short hand that immediately conveys their real meaning.

For example, when we speak of "compassion" we mean caring for others, having empathy and pity for their circumstances, and doing whatever we can to alleviate it (personally...not with government programs or other people's money! Compassion is a personal virtue.)

But "cømpassion" means talking about caring about individuals in a way that enhances your image, and advance your agenda—especially the confiscating of others' money on the pretext of giving aid and comfort to those afflicted—while not requiring the slightest actual concern about or personal action on behalf of individuals in need or difficulty. And while not requiring that any goods, money or power gleaned from the use of said individual be used to succor him.

"Løve", "høpe", "hønor", "freedøm" (etc) can be translated in much the same way.

Whenever Øbama says these words...they don't mean what you think they mean! Substitute the "Ø"...and you'll be able to translate his lies with ease.
