Brutal Act of Senseless Violence

I want this asshole's picture everywhere.

This model human being threw a kitten against a wall hard enough to kill it, in front of the children whose pet it was...because the animal somehow unplugged the video game this sub-human cretin was playing.

He's charged with a misdemeanor.

How about a little "Species Justice"?

Besides, does anyone doubt next time he'll do the same to a baby or child?

Just add alcohol...(or Crack)

His name is BRUCE WALSTON.

Fucker looks like Medusa. She, of course, had the decency not to kill defenseless baby animals.

Can I be an animal, please?

The other day, something occurred to me out of the blue. I don't know if I was watching/listening to some "animal rights" message, or why it came to me just then, but here it is:

We are all familiar with the Progressive/Liberal take on animal rights...right? It goes something like this:

The very worst thing in the world is for animals, who should be free, to be caged for the amusement of human beings.

Indeed, there are many who believe that domestic animals, who have not been free for centuries, should not be penned or used for food or work by us either.

All animals have a right to live free, according to their natures. Lions and tigers and bears and elephants...and all the other wild animals should be living free in their natural environment, without interference by man.

This is an uncontested truth among Liberals. They are outraged at the very idea that animals should be forced to live "unnatural" lives....

Now...

What happens at a zoo?

Animals live in government provided housing, they are fed, sheltered, managed and controlled by government workers—they have free healthcare. They live exactly in the way Progressives/Liberals are trying to force Humans to live: insisting they trade their freedom for government apparatchik provided "security".

Excuse me....but if it's such a great evil, cruel SIN to "do that to animals", why the hell is it okay to do it to human beings?

Here's what we do:

Get them going on a good rant that animals should be FREE...

Use the argument that caged animals get free food, housing and medicine and protection from the cold and predators - they live healthier, longer lives in captivity!

And whey they've shouted that "Freedom is more important than all that..."

....Tell them you agree, and ask them why they don't believe in that same freedom for human animals.

They'll make your argument themselves, passionately and arrogantly—and they'll never see you coming.

Three Reported Missing After Animal Rights Activists Take "War on Leather" to Motorcycle Gang Rally.

Pennsylvania - ~Three Reported Missing After Animal Rights Activists Take "War on Leather" to Motorcycle Gang Rally.~ Johnstown, PA:

Local and state police scoured the hills outside rural Johnstown, Pennsylvania, after reports of three animal rights activists going missing after attempting to protest the wearing of leather at a large motorcycle gang rally this weekend. Two others, previously reported missing, were discovered by fast food workers "duct taped inside several fast food restaurant dumpsters," according to police officials. "Something just went wrong," said a still visibly shaken organizer of the protest. "Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong." The organizer said a group of concerned animal rights activist groups, "growing tired of throwing fake blood and shouting profanities at older women wearing leather or fur coats," decided to protest the annual motorcycle club event "in a hope to show them our outrage at their wanton use of leather in their clothing and motor bike seats." "In fact," said the organizer. "Motorcycle gangs are one of the biggest abusers of wearing leather, and we decided it was high time that we let them know that we disagree with them using it... Ergo, they should stop."

According to witnesses, protesters arrived at the event in a vintage 1960's era Volkswagen van and began to pelt the gang members with balloons filled with red colored water, simulating blood, and shouting "you're murderers" to passers by. This, evidently, is when the brouhaha began. "They peed on me!!!" charged one activist. "They grabbed me, said I looked like I was French, started calling me 'La Trene', and duct taped me to a tree so they could pee on me all day!" "I... I was trying to show my outrage at a man with a heavy leather jacket. And, he... he didn't even care. I called him a murderer, and all he said was, 'You can't prove that.' Next thing I know is he forced me to ride on the back of his motorcycle all day, and not left me off, because his girl friend was out of town and I was almost a woman." Still others claimed they were forced to eat hamburgers and hot dogs under duress. Those who resisted were allegedly held down while several bikers "farted on their heads."

Police officials declined comments on any leads or arrests due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, however, organizers for the motorcycle club rally expressed "surprise" at the allegations. "That's preposterous," said on high ranking member of the biker organizing committee. "We were having a party, and these people showed up and were very rude to us.. They threw things at us, called us names, and tried to ruin the entire event. So, what did we do? We invited them to the party! What could be more friendly than that? You know, just because we are all members of motorcycle clubs does not mean we do not care about inclusiveness. Personally, I think it shows a lack of character for them to be saying such nasty things about us after we bent over backwards to make them feel welcome." When confronted with the allegations of force feeding the activists meat, using them as ad hoc latrines, leaving them incapacitated in fast food restaurant dumpsters, and 'farting on their heads,' the organizer declined to comment in detail. "That's just our secret handshake," assured the organizer.

The Other Side of the Story

Sean Hannity has been flogging a story out of my State, California, for a while now. He's taken up with and for the farmers in the San Joaquin Valley whose land is waterless by government fiat, (and a drought).

Hating the gummint as much as most of us do, it's easy to take up the banner and shout with the crowd that the radicals are sacrificing the farmers, the salt of the earth...and probably Republicans...for the 2-inch smelt....that Hannity keeps insisting is the problem.

He's making it a battle to the death between humans and minnows.

But that's not the whole story.

On his on-location show last week with a dramatic backdrop of hundreds of valley workers with their signs (goofing off and laughing and having a great time from all indications), and depressing footage of the parched land...and references to the 1930's dust bowl...

...he waxed eloquent against the hard-hearted gummint that could choose a "2-inch fish" over hardworking, salt-of-the-earth, reduced-to-soup-lines, farmers.

But he also insultingly shouted down a guest (that presumably he invited) who tried to explain the fishermen's point of view, and that the "2-inch-fish" wasn't really the central issue, but the health of the delta, the estuary and the salmon.

Now, when you talk about salmon...it is not just the salmon FISH...but the salmon INDUSTRY, which employs thousands of people involved in process of plucking a salmon out of the ocean...and getting it served, ready to eat onto your plate.

And they are not any more expendable than the farmers - nor should they be forgotten in this story.

So...regardless of Sean Hannity's current passion about the farmers, and his shameless dismissal of the alternate view, here's the other side of the story:

Today a group called the Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF) is planning to present a petition urging the government to eliminate environmental protections for salmon and other endangered fish in order to pump more water from the threatened Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta ecosystem as the solution to our central valley water crisis. Whoa!

Let me start off by saying that this is NOT about a “worthless 2 inch minnow,” or an “inconsequential little worm," as some have described the Delta smelt –- it is about salmon! Protecting the delta smelt also helps protect salmon. Fishermen know that what’s good for the smelt is good for salmon and good for the health of the estuary.

I’m a commercial salmon fisherman and sometimes when I say that, people believe that I take folks out on sportfishing excursions, that’s not the case. I go out on my boat and harvest a great public resource for those who don’t have the means or ability to go out there themselves. When I come back to port, I sell these beautiful, sustainably-caught salmon to my neighbors at the farmers’ markets in our area. My commercial fishing permit entrusts me to harvest fish in a sustainable manner because these fish belong to ALL people in our State and we do want to make sure that there will be fish to catch next year, and every year until the end of time.

Everybody concerned about the environment is not wrong - or a Left-Wing Nut Job. And every person who champions human self-interest at the expense of the environment...is not necessarily RIGHT.

The life and health of the estuary, the delta and the salmon, are not the insignificant issues some are trying to make it by sneeringly and repeatedly referring to a "2-inch fish". And if we've learned anything about ecology, it's that a "2-inch fish" can be the key to the success - the life or death - of an entire eco-system.

I know the radical EnviroStasi have hijacked Environmentalism as a club to destroy capitalism, the country, and to establish the secular religion of Earth Worship and a Marxist "paradise". But that does not mean that all environmental concerns are politically motivated or baldly trumped up.

We have to be responsible stewards of the natural world and our fellow creatures. And we have to remember that while we need to resist the envirofascist view that people are a virus on the earth - the problem and a plague - we also have to be sensitive when our thoughtless or greedy actions put entire ecosystems at risk of destruction.

*The other day...on my commute home, a couple of blocks from my office, I saw a rat (A Rat!) running on the road (a first!) and was horrified at his predicament, and held my breath hoping he'd make it to safety. Unfortunately, he did not. Bummed me out for days. (A Rat!) I'd freak if I found him in my house...but I was really rooting for him to make it across the street unscathed. How can you NOT?)

(As I write this it occurs to me that old Hannity might have spun a little crazy on this story because he's feeling the heat of 'Beck on fire' on his backside.)

Animals in Peril

My friend sent me this today. I have not verified it, and I don't care, because that's not the point. It's adorable:
The Jesusita Fire in Santa Barbara , CA this year, 2009, caused these two to take shelter together. The fawn is about 3 days old and the bobcat about 3 weeks.

They immediately bonded and snuggled together under a desk in the Santa Barbara County Dispatch Office for several hours.

Animal Planet is reporting the bobcat kitten was rescued near Arnold Schwarzenegger's ranch, where it was dehydrated and near death.

They rescued the fawn during the wildfire. Although wild animals, especially of separate species, are never placed together due to regulations, in this emergency situation, they had no choice.

During the mayhem of the fire, they were forced to put animals anywhere they could, since they had run out of crates large enough for the fawn. The kitten ran to the fawn, and it was instant bonding.

Surely there's a lesson here...

It's Dog Day...

And Now A Word From Our Sponsor...

Well, this is a really more of a Public Service Announcement.

If you've been looking for a good charity...besides that one you already support for people...here it is:

The Cesar and Ilusion Millan Foundation

The Foundation's primary goal is to provide financial support and rehabilitation expertise to shelters throughout the United States, better enabling them to maintain the highest standards of care and assistance to animals under their protection.

The key here is "rehabilitation expertise". This guy understands dogs, and has rehabilitated thousands of them that other "experts" have given up on. He has saved their lives by showing that with the right knowledge, and the good sense to "follow Mother Nature", what seem like hopeless cases can become safe, loving, well-behaved family pets.

Cesar is one of my new heroes...and he's good....really, really good at what he does. One of the things that's so exciting about his foundation is that his expertise, and experience and knowledge and natural wisdom will be shared with so many other people who are working every day to save animals.

With his help and information and training, dogs, once considered lost causes and consigned to euthanasia will be saved and placed in loving homes.

Check them out, and if you like what you find...donate if you can. It'll make you feel good! And it will make a lot of dogs very happy.

And now...back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Homespun Wisdom Trumps Global Stupidity

Speaking of the Dog Whisperer, I just read this quote from him...

"Dogs don’t follow emotional leaders or lovable leaders; they follow calm-assertive leaders. This is the same for all animals in the animal kingdom. Humans are the only animals that follow unstable, emotional leaders around the world." [Emphasis, mine. GS]

So, dogs, horses and elephants, when given the chance, pick better leaders than we do. That's a humbling thought. And this bit of potentially world changing wisdom is brought to us by a guy born and raised in rural Mexico. Not exactly the sophisticated urban world of our own political and cultural elite.

Too bad Cesar Millan can't run for president.

Of course, if a guy from Kenya....

What would the Dog Whisperer think of this?

I've seen dogs' feel quiver while they sleep, but this is ridiculous. I hope the poor guy gets some normal sleep...he must wake up exhausted!

And it gets even stranger. This dog is fast asleep until the very last moment of this video.
