Closer to the Truth?

Asia Times article by Spengler

A more sophisticated (?) take on the Petraeus "affair".

While some of us are worried that Øbama is busy discrediting the military for his own socialist purposes, in his efforts to "transform" America, this author suggests that the incompetence of the military and intelligence leaders in this case, in fact, reflect badly on Øbama, as he is the the architect of their profound failure.

A failure that has resulted in a United States of America whose eyes on the world have been blinded, and whose intelligence service has been unmanned.

* "Spengler" is otherwhere known as David Goldman...see here.

Here's his companion piece at PJ Media.
"Whatever details emerge about the Benghazi disaster last September, the incident reveals an intelligence failure embedded in a policy failure. The Islamist parties that rode the Arab revolts to power are hostile to the United States by construction, and incapable by their nature of stabilizing the economies and political systems of the non-oil-exporting Arab countries."
So much for the "Arab Spring".

(And "Nation Building".)
The Gunslinger
"Maybe the only way to save our village is to let Øbama burn it down."
