"Think of an economy where people could be an artist or a photographer or a writer without worrying about keeping their day job in order to have health insurance."
Yeah, just think of it. An economy where people who actually have "day jobs" will get to pay to support "artists" who are too good to have "day jobs"!
Wow, I just feel fuzzy and warm all over. Sort of like having cat hair in my underpants while walking through the Mojave desert at noon in August.
I want to scream obscenities. Actually, I am screaming obscenities. Too bad you can't hear me.
Just use your imagination.

No "Day Job" = No Eat
AAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!
Had this bullshit discussion 30 years ago with a fellow rock'n'roller,re:"Would it be okay if the gov't paid us to do music and be creative?".I said "No!" back then, and now,as well.Granny Pelosi is genuinely retarded in her approach to Reality. To quote the 3 Stooges..."What a maroon!" And...why did I have to re-do password on my Google account? Getting a bit paranoid...
ReplyDeleteAs an artist, there is no freakin' way I want money from the government. I don't even support the NEA. Artists were better off with private sponsors. So what if you need to have a day job? Deal with it! Most of us have for many years. You start getting checks from the government, they start telling you what to paint.--skiri'ki (who has no idea why her account doesn't work when I try to post, but it looks fine when I actually go there and look at it! Argh!)
ReplyDeleteIf you deem it, then it must be true!
ReplyDeleteDeem that you scream obscenities, and it is so.
"skiri'ki"...had similar problem last night.Had to re-set password.Made (and makes) one a bit paranoid...but it just might be Google ineptitude.Had it with Typekey blog once.
