"Do Not Feed the RINOs!"
Perfectly in line with my own thinking, which has changed on this subject over the last year.
For a long time I bought the traditional wisdom that a vote for a third party...or an independent candidate was a "wasted" vote, I realize that there are two reason why that's not true.
First, voting my principles is never "wasted".
Second, we have to throw down on the GOP. Until their RINOs get their asses kicked all over the place because Conservatives/Liberty Community refuse to vote for them....THEY WILL NEVER LEARN.
What you tax you get less of. What you subsidize you get more of.
And what we've done is "subsidize" RINOs by donating to and voting for them....and we just keep getting more of them. And the Republican Party isn't learning a thing. A major loss in 2008...and the best thing they can come up with in a conservative, rural district in upper New York State is a Pro-Choice, Pro-Card Check, ACORN endorsed "Republican"??
I'm a so done. I will never vote for another Republican that is not a Conservative. I will support a third party conservative candidate....I'll run myself....or write in a conservative's name. The Republican Party and its RINOs are dead to me.
The Gunslinger
Enemy of the Imperial State
That's what it's going to take.
ReplyDeleteI've beat my head against the wall over the "but then the Democrats will win!" excuse for the past ten years now, and I always counter with "What fraking difference does it make if the R you elect acts just like a D? It just means you share in the blame!"
(cue blank stare)
It looks like more and more people are starting to understand that, which is why the New York race is particularly interesting to me.
