Dazed and Confused

Even the Press reports of the new "President" are schizophrenic. Read this story. It's so full of odd juxtapositions and contradictions it's hard to make sense of it.

It begins with Zero trashing Rush Limbaugh.

He is foolish enough to name Rush Limbaugh as a foe. He may not yet understand that there are a LOT (I need bigger caps) of people who don't actually like his royal self, and will therefore consider Rush, as a result of this singling out, to be an even greater hero, and even more trustworthy leader of the opposition. Zero attacking Rush by name = exponential increase in Limbaugh's status, influence, popularity, credibility.

Especially since the Republicans have generally presented their bellies to Zero's fangs.

Surely, that is not what the Boy King had in mind?

Zero is clearly "not ready for prime time". He is totally unfamiliar with the way serious grownups in power behave. Both for dignity's sake, and tactically.

One's enemies are those of one's own station. Princes don't duel shopkeepers. So one of two things just happened. Zero just reduced himself to the level of Talk Show Host, or he lifted Rush to the level of "Leader of the Free World".

Rush has got to be laughing his ass off.

• Gloating over winning/denials of gloating
• Declarations that all points of view are welcome/Declarations that Limbaugh's point of view is not welcome.

...and some confusion on the part of the reporter, apparently, as to what is actually going on here.

It's a pottage of clumsy, obvious contradictions and conflicting statements, sentiments, and explanations. Considering how completely this posse fooled a majority of the American public, you'd think they'd be better at this.

I'd like to point out that I never thought Zero was particularly smart. I know the consensus of our "betters" is that he's brilliant, but they think Global Warming is true, and that Nationalized Medicine works.

And after reading this. I'm feeling quite smug.
