The Real "Deal"

Allow me to clarify.

The Democrats are saying that there was a "deal" agreed to by Democrats, President Bush, and Senate Republicans...then John McCain flew into the fray and suddenly it fell apart.

Do you notice one group left out of the above list?

House Republicans—the Conservative Ones!

The reason is, they never approved of this bloated, Democrat boondoggle from the beginning. That the Democrats are pretending that it was McCain who broke the "deal"—40 days before a Presidential election—is not exactly a surprise.

Typical divisive political grandstanding...

What IS interesting, however, is why do the Democrats, who have a majority in both houses of Congress care what the House Republicans think about this "deal".

If they've got Senate Republican and Democrat support...and House Democrat support...they can pass this all on their ownsie.

Yet, they're crying as though the House Republican minority is preventing them from doing what is "right for the country".

But what, really, is stopping them?

The know the "deal" is a bloated piece of shit. They know it is a bad deal. They know it will be found out once it is exposed to the light of day. They know that The People are against it...as they have made abundantly clear by references to their constituents' emails and phone calls running something like 90% against.

That's why they need the House Republicans to sign on. They need the cover. The political cover. If they pass this against the will of The People, wasting money, socializing our country, giving government a free hand instead of protecting the Free Market, and they do it without House Republican support, they will actually have to accept responsibility for doing it...and for all the consequences that follow.

And this is something no Democrat is prepared to do.

They are working to insulate themselves from criticism when the "deal" fails...when the "deal" is exposed as another fat, piggish, cash hustle giving money to favorite political corrupt constituents like ACORN...(yes, that's part of the "deal") out of taxpayer money that is supposed to be spend on "debt relief".

The only way they're willing to sign their own names to this "deal" is if they cannot singled out as the sole perpetrators of it. And the only way to avoid that is to pressure their adversaries to become accessories to the crime.

Pray that the House Republicans stand firm. They may be our very last hope.
