House Democrats responded to President's Bush's call for Congress to lift the moratorium on offshore drilling. This was at an on-camera press conference fed back live.
Among other things, the Democrats called for the government to own refineries so it could better control the flow of the oil supply.

We can't take much more creeping to the Left, even if just for a minute. Government grown never shrinks, laws and regulations made almost never are repealed. Inch by inch they are winning, even as they fail spectacularly.

The problem with oil and the problem with our incursion into Iraq is that we allowed an inept government to take charge, and then we privatized the only thing they should be doing (military).
Hold the oil companies accountable for fraud and deception, but don't shackle them with the worst run company in the world (The U.S. Government)
