Can't Afford To Live Here Anymore

I am retiring at the end of the year, and I'm looking to move out of this liberal insane asylum. Idaho is looking good. I have family in Sacto, so I don't want to go too far east.

If you have any suggestions...feel free!

  1. Retired a bit over two years ago, decided to stay here in Las Vegas, but downsized to a retirement community here in Vegas, safe, clean lots of activities, reasonably priced utilities. Although the housing costs have continued to rise
since the crash. It's a bit far from Sacramento (I have two daughters there), however cheap flights are available for visits. Boise is a nice city, I used to have work there, but it's become more like Portland and Seattle in recent years. Good luck, hope you find something, retirement has great!

  2. Arizona! Constitutional carry, awesome weather, stunning scenery, and lots and lots of patriots. And with the amount of California Carpetbaggers moving in, we need all the conservatives we can get to balance things out.

I retired, waited about a year and then moved from IL to AL. What a difference one letter can make. Alabama is not for everyone but my wife and I love it. It is affordable, friendly and warm. Only bad thing to happen here was Doug Jones beating Roy Moore thanks to girly-men conservatives who ran like cowards with their little media-safe "He should step down if he is guilty." Ted, Mike, Scott, I have a long memory.

Good luck on your move and make sure you have your exit visa in order - they don't let taxpayers cross the border that easily and they will bill you in your new state.

  4. All you guys! Thanks so much for the info and ideas. AZ does sound great...I just worry about the illegals and, as you say, the carpetbaggers!
