Congress didn't listen...!

"What a shame.

Last night, members of the House and Senate passed a deal that goes against everything you and I have fought so hard for. It does nothing to address the real issues facing our nation: government overspending and runaway entitlements that have us nearing $17 trillion in debt.

Congress went back on the promises it made in 2011 to cap government spending at $967 billion, a level previously agreed to in the Budget Control Act. Congress made this promise to the American people, but broke that promise in a late-night deal with Barack Obama and Harry Reid.

Instead of making responsible spending cuts, this last-minute deal allows the government to spend well beyond its means and increases our borrowing limit without scrutinizing the wasteful spending that is putting us further into debt. Congress clearly has no qualms about continuing this trend of reckless spending that threatens the economy and hurts job growth.

From the beginning, we've made it clear that any increase in the debt limit must be tied to dollar-for-dollar spending cuts. Last week we asked you to send this message to Congress, and tens of thousands of you immediately took action.

Unfortunately, Congress didn't listen...."

I got this via email today. Seriously?

"Unfortunately, Congress didn't listen"?

Of course they didn't listen. They did what they wanted to do all along...after the political theater ensuring the reelection of "Boner" and McConnell and other RINOs playing to their low information, clueless "moderate" voters.

These are career politicians. They don't give a shit what citizens want. They don't give a shit about the next generation. They don't give a shit about the Constitution. They don't give a shit about honor, integrity, truth, duty. They don't give a shit about freedom. They don't give a shit about their immortal souls. They don't give a shit about the future of mankind. The only thing they care about is what's in it for them, and what's best for The Government, of which they each are a lifetime, wealthy, privileged, pampered part.

They are not going to do ANYTHING to change their gravy-train of MONEY, STATUS & POWER—the evil troika of government apparatchiks.

Except for the handful of Tea Party representatives, Congress is nothing more than an American version of the Soviet Politburo.

I'd call them pre-Revolution French aristocrats, but they just don't have enough style.

I will say that a similar end for most of Congress is not a bad idea.

When Boner says "We didn't win." What he means is YOU didn't win. He did just fine.

  1. McConnell's donor list is a corporate who's who of health insurance and health care. Those companies are OK with fascism as long as they can keep their offices and profits. They are who McConnell listens to.

  2. That is who everyone in politics listens to: the ones who can keep them in power and make them rich.

There are a handful of heroes. But they are few.

It is us against THEM...and THEM is the Washington Establishment of all parties.
