Wise Words to a Lesser Generation

As some Senators insist that the power to wage war rests with the Congress...not solely with the President, they should keep in mind the wise words of our founder:

"[A] Congress with power to do whatever would be for the good
of the United States... as they would be the sole judges of the
good or evil, it would be also a power to do whatever evil they
please." ---Thomas Jefferson

I for one, do not want a committee running the war; any war. Especially a committee of untrustworthy, flappable, weak-kneed, spineless, frightened, political hacks like Senators.
