This is deadly serious, and a prescient warning. Read it and DO something about it.

I, and a small group of friends here, for a start, plan to gather on a thoroughfare in our area, with signs we painted that say some version of...

"I support the police".

We live in the suburbs of the San Francisco Peninsula...so don't expect to be immediately set upon...but it has certainly occurred to us that we might be in this hideous political climate.

We are, of course, doing it anyway. If citizens don't stand up for the police, for law & order, for peace, for respect and essentially, for civilization....why would we expect the cops to?

We are also going to the individual police departments of the various towns we live in, and will be presenting them with tokens of our appreciation...generally of the sort you can EAT!
