There are so many traditions and narratives in America that they could have picked up the thread on: from Lincoln, to TR, FDR, to MLK, but instead, they have become sad bit part actors in the bitter, insular, narcissism of a Vanity Fair / Ivy League culture surfeit with 60K tuitions, fed inflated endowments, massive government funding and petty celebrity envies. Very small people in very big shoes.

Ingratitude is the root of all unhappiness. And Michelle Obama is profoundly ungrateful for the opportunities this country has given her. I feel sorry for blacks that have fallen for the victimhood scam and can only see life through the prism of their own blackness. I'm proud of my European heritage in the extremely rare moments that I take to think about it. We've given the world great art, music, democracy, medical achievements, etc. but who cares? Your life is what you make it. White or black. If you think about your skin color constantly then you're just going to be running around in circles. There's a word for Michelle Obama's worldview. That word is solipsism. Look it up.
