Just a reminder

For all those meek patriots, who get upset when the subject of secession or revolution comes up as viable last resorts in order to restore the Constitution and take our country back, and argue that the Founders were NOT in favor of such things...

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."  --Thomas Jefferson

I'm not advocating violence today. I'm just saying that when all else fails to restore America...we might have to consider these options. If we are not willing to do so. We are not really patriots.

To refuse to consider them is to, at the outset, limit our options, and to concede defeat. Because the Left will push us to the wall, and if we are unwilling to fight...we have already lost.

It is to be hoped that our efforts to restore the Constitution by peaceful means will succeed. But we cannot limit ourselves to peaceful means, when it is clear our enemy will not. If we do, when they strike the first blow, we will immediately surrender; too frightened to fight for our principles, our honor, or our country.

And I am not willing to do any such thing. Nor am I willing to associate with anyone who is. They are not to be trusted with so great a treasure as my freedom.

  1. I really hesitate to do this, but after reading that quote from Jefferson several years ago, I wrote this:

I thought it had relevance to this post and I apologize for any appearance of a shameless plug, which is purely coincidental.
