Punching the Media Right in the Kisser

Larry Elder thinks Mr. Gingrich has it right to attack the Media. And so do I.

It's not just "red meat" for the base, as the Newt-Naysayers like to pretend. I have maintained for some time (as has anyone with half a brain) that we cannot continue to operate under the notion that the press is fair or unbiased. We have to come to grips with the fact that is will do whatever is necessary to get Progressives elected...and destroy Conservatives.

They have demonstrated it many times before our very eyes...and yet so many Republicans and even Conservatives—who should know better—still try to ingratiate themselves with the completely and obviously and rudely hostile press.

Newt, on the other hand does not only not attempt to court them, he attacks them full-throttle...just as they deserve, calling them out on their various and numerous outright lies and distortions, as well as their half-truths and malicious & gossip-rag innuendo.

Everyone except the lunatics with hammer & sickle tattoos knows that the media is more and more aggressively bias against traditional Americana...and most of us don't like it. Even Democrats.

I think that Newt's honest in-your-face rejection of their biases, their tactics, their fundamental unfairness resonates far more widely than the lily-livered, nervous-nellie Republicans are prepared to believe.

It's also likely that too many of the establishment Republicans are in the same social set as the establishment Media figures and the establishment Democrats...so they are unwilling to stake out any claim, or return fire in a way that might alienate one of their golfing partners.
