You Didn't Need Tarot Cards to See This Coming

Amy Winehouse 's death came as a complete shock...

...to absolutely no one.

Sad that.

I was shocked, however, to learn she was only 27-years-old.

It feels like I've been reading about her drug and alcohol problems for longer than that. Not to mentioned how she looked recently.

I don't know her music, but you couldn't fail to hear about her lifestyle. What a waste. What a shame.

Weren't there any adults in her life that could have prevented this?

[A little while later...]

How could this happen?

I said I didn't know her music (above)...so I checked it out since...and OMG...she's amazing. The mess that was her little public self kept me from taking her seriously enough to even check out her music. I'm sorry it took her death to motivate me...but I'm glad I'll have her music to listen to.

But there will never be more...and that's such a shame.

I ordered her two albums, Frank and Back to Black from Amazon just now. They "usually ship within 6 - 12 days"...??

Is there a rush on her music, do you suppose? Or just the opposite - they don't get enough orders...so they don't keep them in stock?

Either way...it's all such a sad, if predictable, thing.

R.I.P.,  kid. Better luck in the new place.
