Grzmlyk did. (Hell NO I don't know how to say it. I'm just the messenger, people.)
I think Obama does know what he's doing - employing the old Cloward-Piven strategy of overwhelming the system in order to paralyze it - then lay the failure at capitalism's door, even as the socialist knight in shining armor comes riding to the rescue. So in that way, he knows exactly what he's doing.
But that's because he has a puerile view of economics (among other things) that is informed by his own indoctrination and his status as a perpetual outsider during his formative years. I honestly think he believes what my ex-girlfriend believes (hey, she was gorgeous and sometimes very sweet, what can I say?):
That there is a giant cave somewhere that is filled with all the money that this planet will ever have. This lucre is jealously guarded, naturally, by evil, right-wing capitalists and their cronies, and it is the mission of Obama and his fellow travelers to pry the guards away from the mouth of the cave and dole out the stacks of money inside to those they deem "deserving."
Obama's supreme confidence does not derive from surpassing wisdom; quite the contrary, it derives from utter ignorance.
He's like the child that slips into his daddy's shoes and imagines himself a man of consequence as he traipses around the house, idealizing his father's perceived omniscience and omnipotence even has he mythologizes his own place in the world.
But of course his father is just a man, the shoes don't fit, the moment passes and the child's fantasy is eventually supplanted by something we in the conservative movement like to call "reality."
This will NEVER happen with Obama. If the man lives to be 100, he will go to his grave believing he was the one we had been waiting for - but that we Philistines were simply too retrograde to recognize his godhead.
Like Peter Pan and Michael Jackson, Obama simply refuses to grow up.

In other words...he is a twit. Or,to be more Cockney, "a bit o' a wanker".He's REALLY been in motivational-speaker-mode the last few days, with a closely-vetted "crowd" of actors for his latest info-mercials (frankly,I believe it's a sign of desperation, and "he crackin' up").Goebbels must be spinning in his grave in envy at the present-day media-tools Obama has at his disposal. The above-quoted commenter hit it on the head re:"confidence from ignorance, not wisdom"...an eternal downside symptom to democratic republics sliding into total despotism thru the Ages, unfortunately. Pelosi/Reid et al are embarassingly incompetent hacks,so it's only down to how crippled our society/culture is,as to how they have gotten this far,and if/when they will be stopped."For the first time in my adult life,I am embarassed for my country",to reverse-paraphrase that gargoyle Michelle Obama. That they've slithered into power shows how weakened and infantilized our culture has been lowered to. Ironically, after Glenn Beck went on about the census bs today on his radio show...OF COURSE,I received the notice in my own mailbox afterwards...guess it's not very "erudite",but I only muttered "Goddammit!". Glad you read American Spectator.I've read it in both print and web-form since 1993,as well as Reason Magazine...
