Here's What's Wrong

This is a great article.  By Geoffrey P. Hunt at American Thinker.

It's just the sort of thing that will delight all Øbama, er, "un-fans".

It's from last year, but I missed it, and it was just sent to me by a friend to enjoy. For which I am eternally grateful. If you've already read it, read it again. It's good for the soul. If not, you're in for a treat.

This is my favorite part because it is so devastating and so deadly accurate. Some of us have said "Dude comes from a different planet!" Hunt says it this way:
"It's not so much that he's a phony, knows nothing about economics, and is historically illiterate and woefully small minded for the size of the task--all contributory of course.  It's that he's not one of us.  And whatever he is, his profile is fuzzy and devoid of content, like a cardboard cutout made from delaminated corrugated paper. Moreover, he doesn't command our respect and is unable to appeal to our own common sense. His notions of right and wrong are repugnant and how things work just don't add up. They are not existential. His descriptions of the world we live in don't make sense and don't correspond with our experience."

The President of the United States doesn't make any sense. He describes the world in ways that don't reflect reality. Isn't that a symptom of insanity?

Can 2012 get here fast enough?

  1. "Can 2012 get here fast enough?"

No, it can't. On the other hand, unless 'We The People' become better informed on why what he says makes no sense... we will go through the same motions of electing someone with lots of 'answers' and expect those to work too... and that also is a definition of insanity... doing the same thing while expecting different results.

To those ends, Hillsdale College just put on an excellent webcast ""Reviving the Constitution" - A Constitution Town Hall, brought to you by the Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship", still viewable at no charge here (not sure if it still requires a registration, but it's a freebie, and also has an excellent downloadable .pdf 'Reader' along with it as well). Speakers include Matthew Spalding, whose book We Still Hold These Truths: Rediscovering Our Principles, Reclaiming Our Future I highly recommend also.

  2. Something will happen before 2012.BO and company are already racking up land-speed records for showing incompetence (administration hacks "misspeaking") way beyond even the Carter crew...If there are any Justice Department prosecutors left with a patriotic spine, there's a background rife with RICO indictments possibilities just awaitin' to be nurtured. Rahm Emanuel obviously thinks his Sonny Corleone.
