The Mayo Clinic is going to stop accepting Medicare patients.
Maybe it's that $840 Million they LOST treating them last year!
Obama in June cited the nonprofit Rochester, Minnesota-based Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for offering “the highest quality care at costs well below the national norm.” Mayo’s move to drop Medicare patients may be copied by family doctors, some of whom have stopped accepting new patients from the program, said Lori Heim, president of the American Academy of Family Physicians, in a telephone interview yesterday.
“Many physicians have said, ‘I simply cannot afford to keep taking care of Medicare patients,’” said Heim, a family doctor who practices in Laurinburg, North Carolina. “If you truly know your business costs and you are losing money, it doesn’t make sense to do more of it.”
What part of STUPID don't the Congressional & Senate Democrat dolts understand?
They clearly mistake "health insurance coverage" for "medical care".
I could have told them there's a difference. Because I speak English.
Listen, you can have expensive, mandated, medical Insurance Coverage but not get decent Medical Care, if no responsible, respectable, competent doctor will accept you as a patient!
This distinction seems to have escaped the geniuses on Capitol Hill.

P.S. Here's a commenter with the same idea:
"Watch the word parsing, folks. Obie is very good at that. He isn't providing quality healthcare; he's selling health insurance."
(And, yes! He used our favorite: "Obie". I didn't change it. It's an exact quote! - GS)
The only thing Obot is selling is slavery and death.
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on those, thanks.
