And in his opening statement he blames slave-driving ("squeeze") and greedy ("good profits") business owners:
"...some have figured out how to squeeze more productivity out of existing employees and that cost cutting has become embedded in their cost cutting and their [company] culture
That may result in good profits. but it's not translating into hiring again...how do we get businesses to get hiring again?"
If my information is correct, the group that has been left out of this "summit" is small business. Yes, that segment of the economy that hires most people, and provides most jobs.
Unions have a major place at the table, though, and government. Which makes perfect sense—if you're the Mad-Hatter.
Of course, it's all just a sham anyway; a farce; making it look like he's "doing something".
What are the chances anyone there will tell him he needs to stop "health care", stop "cap and trade", and cut the hell out of everybody's taxes, especially business and corporate ones...and get busy repealing regulations that cost business billions every year?
What a total waste of everybody's time - so the Resident can pretend he
1) KNOWS what he's doing
2) is doing SOMETHING
3) blame everybody but HIMSELF for the problem
A threefer for the 'Bamster, I guess.
Which is, after all, the most important thing. Because remember:
It is always ALL about Øbama.
America who?
The Gunslinger, EOTIS
Para Bellum
Slingy, you hit the nail right smack on the head with this one. The bum is losin' it. I think he's seen his numbers, and is starting to get nervous.
ReplyDeleteTo be scatalogical...This is more of a "Handjob Summit" than anything else (cue rimshot)...That's the only job the Rez is familiar with. I heard recently that the Obama "Administration" (sic) cabinet has only 8% of its members with experience with the private sector (all the past ones ran from 30 to 53%). May not be true, but it sure FEELS true...
ReplyDeleteWow, you hit the nail right on the teleprompter! He makes me grit my teeth and make ugly hissing sounds. Out, damned spot! He has no clue how to be a president. I love the term "resident". I could think of many others, but you might not print them, and I shouldn't say them.(o:Ginny
ReplyDeleteTJ- yes, almost NO private Sector experience. His entire administration is nothing but Marxist Grad Students and Thugs.
ReplyDeleteGinny....me too! I hate his sibilance. And if I hear "Let me be clear..." one more time, my hair's going to start falling out.
"Resident". Because I refuse to call him "President". Childish perhaps...but it's my own little private rebellion.
