More on Jones and Beck

Politico on the Van Jones story.

They don't discuss whether anything Glenn Beck or other Conservatives said about Jones was actually true. They instead talk about how powerful Beck has become; that he can get one of the King's men ousted. Of course, there is also the required implication that Beck only took on Jones because one of Jones' organs, Color of Change, attacked Beck through his sponsors—making it more or less personal, rather than grounded in principles of the American republic as against Jones' self-avowed goals to "change the whole system", to end capitalism, to redistribute ALL the wealth, etc.

The story gives a lot of attention to the "game" or who won and who lost, whose side everyone is on, but pays scant attention to the facts that Beck has spent weeks exposing.

They imply that it's partisan and opinion wrangling, rather than an honest response to facts that have, in spite of the White House and the Left, finally been reported.

But even to Politico those apparently don't matter. It's the horse-race, the power-plays, the winners and losers that matter.

These guys should stop taking lessons from the Legacy media and get with the program.

  1. Glenn will not fall: Glenn has a lot to say and it's for the good of Freedom. We are a free nation and anyone who is trying to turn us into a communist country...I do not stand for-Sorry.

  2. Hi lucydrake. Agreed! Anyone who tries to take Glenn down has US to deal with.

And that will not be fun for them.

  3. Beck won't fail of fall. He understands, as many more people do everyday, that we're in a political fight to the death.

I think Fox should swap Beck and O'Reilly's time slots, for a while, and see what happens.

Ain't gonna happen, but it would be interesting to see.

  4. I don't think FOX had any idea this was going to happen. Personally, I believe he'd be number one if he got a better time slot.

But...could either O'Reilly or Hannity pull the numbers Beck can at his early hour?

From a business point of view, Fox's got the best of both worlds goin' on: Successful well-known shows in prime time, and a newcomer exploding the numbers at 5 pm.

    If it ain't broke...
