At one point he says: "You guys are really up, really up on the website."
So.
He doesn't know about the census bureau discontinuing their association with ACORN?
And he doesn't know about the 83-7 vote in the Senate to defund ACORN?
Wow...now I know why he was under the mistaken impression that Sarah Palin was uninformed about the "Bush Doctrine". He didn't know there were several versions of it, depending on the year or the circumstance, or the speaker... he only knew the one definition that his producers provided before the interview.
The classic clueless dolt, unaware of his own shortcomings.
Now, I'm sure he reads the New York Times every day. That being said, if he's never heard of ACORNgate, you can bet it's not being reported in that paper.
After chewing on that for a moment...can we stop calling dunces like Charlie Gibson/ABC News/NYT the "Mainstream Media"?
They're about as "mainstream" and David Duke's newsletter.
A huge political/corruption/crime scandal—considering the closeness of Øbama to ACORN/SEIU, and the complicit Federal Government's massive funding—and Charlie Gibson is laughing because he's unaware of it.
It would be proper to call him part of the Fringe Media, the Marxist Media, the Progressive Media, the State-Run Media, the Leftist Media...but not by any stretch of the imagination, the "Mainstream" Media.
Today, FOX News Channel is mainstream; Drudge is mainstream; Breitbart is mainstream.
Names have power. They shape & frame the issue, the dialogue, and ultimately, reality.
A first step in getting control of our country, is getting control of the conversation which starts by getting control of the language.
To call the Fringe the Mainstream is to misrepresent reality, and in the end, to redefine it.
It's time we stopped allowing lies to be called "truth"; and the truth, lies.
It's time we take back the power of language, of definition, of "names".
And refusing the call the Fringe Media "mainstream" is a good place to start.
Starting now.

You one up'ed Glenn Beck. He used the term "fringe media" last night on his 5pm Fox show to describe the so-called "mainstream media."
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you heard it somewhere else or not. Good post.

I honestly don't remember how I came up with that. Could have been out of my own little head. I've been known to do that..
