K.I.S.S.

I'd like to expand a little on a point I made yesterday. A point I think gets overlooked too often in the debate about ObamaCare.

The discussion tends to center on whether State Run Health Care would be good or bad....medically. Obviously, nobody with the intellectual capacity of a five year old, or a passing acquaintance with history will be even slightly in doubt about which is true...

...But the other side repeats endlessly how good it will be - for nefarious reasons of their own.

How about we stipulate, just for argument, that it would be good?

This undeniable fact remains: Citizens would be beholden to and dependent on the Imperial State for it.

And that is reason enough to reject it. Indeed, that is the primary reason, the first and foremost reason to reject it out of hand. Discussions of the 'quality' are distractions and side issues.

Here's the simple syllogism:
Anything that increases the size or power of the State and diminishes the liberty of individuals is bad.

State run health care increases the size and power of the State and diminishes the liberty of individuals.

Therefore State run health care is BAD.
Discussions about "quality of care" or whether it works in Canada, or whether Germans love their socialist system, or how many Americans are "uninsured" are completely beside the point.

Even (imaginary) "good" State Run health care makes serfs of Citizens.

And I'll take Freedom over "good" (State Run) health care every time.

Liberals want to pretend this is a "complicated" issue. It's part of their strategy to make us believe we are not qualified to responsibly deal with it. But it's not complicated at all.

It comes down to this simple, basic choice: Liberty or Tyranny.

Enemy of the Imperial State (EOTIS)
Champion of Liberty
