Let's see if this means the government's big ham-fisted mitts will actually be out of my healthcare.
It would seem at first glance to be a victory for us crazy, mad, Right Wing, Nazi mobs. So, you know, that's good.
I'm totally okay with making health care more affordable through sensible reform. But considering who is in charge, I don't have much faith that that will happen anytime soon.
I figure anything short of giving government control over health care can be revisited and revised by a subsequent Congress and President.
So if the "public option" is really and truly defunct, whatever else they do is essentially temporary, no matter how stupid, unfair, expensive, shortsighted, or idiotic.
Let's hope these early signs are indeed pointing in the right direction after all.
Of course the Øne cannot leave well enough alone. He will insist on putting his foot in it:
Yeah....we're real sorry to have been the ones to introduce "political maneuvers" into the debate, ACORN-MAN.Obama, writing in Sunday's New York Times, said political maneuvers should be excluded from the debate.
"In the coming weeks, the cynics and the naysayers will continue to exploit fear and concerns for political gain," he wrote. "But for all the scare tactics out there, what's truly scary — truly risky — is the prospect of doing nothing."
And we feel really bad about using all those "scare tactics" like quoting from the actual friggin' bill that you morons didn't bother to friggin' read.
God, we're so unfair!
And here's a clue 'Bama: 80% of the citizens of American want you to do NOTHING about their health care except leave it the fuck alone. Try catching the train, pal.

"Obama,'writing' in the New York Times"...now,THAT'S funny...even more funny than "political maneuvers should be excluded...".They just got caught trying to take a big bite, when all along "nibble-nibble" has been successful (starting with withholding tax). These guys always believe their own fawning press, without realizing they're in a warped funhouse.
ReplyDeleteYes...I think that's why they so miscalculated as to attack regular Americans at townhall meetings. Character assassination has always worked...
ReplyDeleteBut they actually made the mistake to trying to slime the people they are trying to talk TO.
THEY is WE....and 'Bama and the boys fucked that one up purty.
I think they may be going down that same path with this new asshole at FCC, Mark Lloyd. I don't think he understands that most of the people in America LIKE conservative talk radio.
Another Boob in the Bubble.
I think that they think if they look like they are compromising, then we will back down. We can't. All they will just do is keeping marching toward socialism. I don't want any compromises from this administration. I want them to STFU and really listen to what we are saying and stop insulting us by calling us names. There's no basis for argument in namecalling; it's just disrespectful and shows how truly pathetic they really are (adults throwing tantrums). They seem to think that we don't want healthcare reform. The healthcare industry does need reform, but it must not be like this. There needs to be insurance reform and that's where it must start. Keeping the drug companies and doctors separate will be a good start. Shit started going downhill when the doctors went to bed with the drug companies.
ReplyDeleteShit started going downhill the minute the government began regulating medicine and health care insurers.
ReplyDeleteGOD, I hate them.
An outstanԁing shагe! I've just forwarded this onto a friend who has been conducting a little homework on this. And he in fact ordered me dinner due to the fact that I discovered it for him... lol. So let me reword this.... Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending the time to talk about this subject here on your blog.
