The Wrong Argument

Stupid politicians, so busy controlling every aspect of our lives, always miss the big picture.

The are having, as always, the wrong argument. Typically, they're fighting the last war, never having figured out how they lost it in the first place.

They're worried about terrorists with fake ID's. Boarding planes.
The PASS ID bill, which is supported by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, eliminates security measures included in the Real ID Act, which required verification of birth certificates, Social Security numbers and immigration status before someone could get a driver's license that could be used as an identification card for federal purposes such as boarding an airplane.

The Pass ID bill would not require that the birth certificate is confirmed, would leave addresses off some driver’s licenses in cases where it is for their own protection and would not require that people have a valid driver’s license or ID to board an airplane

Certain language in the PASS ID Act may undermine that goal because it would not allow TSA to prevent a passenger from boarding a plane
Seriously, how many terrorists are American passengers going to allow to take over planes? The blockheads in Congress should read my lips: NONE! ID's do not matter in the case of terrorists on aircraft. That game is over.

If the witless Congress really want planes to be safe from terrorists, they should lose the barrel of monkeys called the TSA, and let passengers carry their own guns.

Besides, I'm actually sorta for this (call me an anarchist):
Without it, someone with a suspended license could more easily cross a state line, list a friend's address and obtain a driver’s license without the points on their record.
Here's an idea, you lunkheads. FIX VOTER FRAUD. And leave the airplane terrorists to us.

  1. But we can't have that! It would be like the OK Corral at 20,000 feet or something!

I think if you have jumped through all the hoops to have a concealed carry permit you should be able to carry it anywhere, anytime. Shall not be infringed, and all of that.

  2. Should be like driving. Prove basic proficiency, license granted.

If you screw up, license revoked.

    1) Criminals are already carrying.
    2) Gun haters are not, and won't
    3) Lots of citizens are already carrying sans permit

In the end, not much would change.
