The Lord Obama & His Flock

Evan Thomas: "Well, we were the good guys in 1984. Hasn't felt that way in recent years. We're seen too often as a bad guys. And he is a very different job from Reagan was all about America, and he talked about it. Obama is, we are above that now. We're not just parochial, we're not just chauvinistic, we're not just provincial. We stand for something. I mean, in a way Obama's standing above the country, above the world. He's sort of God."

Christ Matthews: "Yeah."

Evan Thomas: "He's going to bring all different sides together."

Thus spake the editor of Newsweek. With the approval of the grovelling Greek Chorus, Chris Matthews.

All the angry & outraged rejectors of the idea that we are going down the path of 1930's Germany might want to meditate on that declaration and response—and on the wonderous, echoing silence in the Slobbering Media that followed it.

Thus has the mighty press withered and fallen from grace.

I expect Liberal Christian liturgies are being re-written as we speak.

"May the Lord Obama bless and keep us. Amen."

Read a nice take on this absurdity at The Anchoress

And read more of the transcript at NewsBusters; it's even more gagifying.

P.S. Please note this comment on the [first] linked story:
The adage used to be "how many angels can dance on the head of a pin". Now it has become ''how many puckered lips can press on the scrawny butt of a politician".
I don't care who you are....that there's funny.

  2. We'll start seeing corn-chips with Obama's face...and grilled cheese sandwiches.

In fact it EXACTLY "Progressive" in the political sense. It's just what they believe, that a strong MAN should LEAD the people, because GOD of religion does not exist.
