Scum-Bags & Heroes

I want everyone to know about this story.

I "know" Marcus Luttrell through Glenn Beck's radio and television shows. He is an occasional guest on both. He is a former Navy Seal who wrote the book Lone Survivor, about his horrific experience in Afghanistan that left him needing many surgeries to recover. A process he is still enduring.

When I heard about this new outrage, my heart just broke. And when I heard Marcus talk about it, it was worse. Here's a guy who has gone through hell, and in the process of healing, he was given a puppy who he named for his fallen comrades-in-arms, she became his best friend, giving unconditional love, and loyalty, and innocent joy...

...and who was murdered last week at point blank with a .357 Magnum by sub-human scum-bags for FUN, on Marcus' own property.

His heart is broken—again. And his sense of loss must be excruciating. I don't know how he holds it together. I don't know how he kept himself from killing the bastards. But he did. He also saw to it that they got arrested.

Now, justice must be done.

  1. That is disgusting. The Rangers should let him handle it on his own. 5 minutes in a closed room would probably be plenty.

    Jesus.

  2. GS,

Last night I watched the movie "Tom Horn" with the incomparable Steve McQueen (a bonafide Marine hero.. valiantly pulled several fellow marines from a tank breaking through the ice during an arctic exercise).

There is a scene where he is confronting a rustler about stealing cattle and the outlaw shoots Tom's horse. As the horse was falling Tom shot the outlaw in the head. Tom then gets off his dead horse and walks to the door and pumps 3 or 4 more slugs into the scumbags body while yelling "You son of a bitch you killed my horse" then proceeded to burn down the scumbags house with him in it.

Senseless violence against defenseless animals is committed by cowards and human refuse.

I think Tom Horn had something there. If it were a sane world the Rangers would have let Marcus be for 3 or 4 minutes and the world would be a better place.

    Take care

  4. BHenry...Killing defenseless animals for fun or a thrill should be a major felony.

  6. This happened in Texas. Killing pet animals is a felony. The jury will be hard on these two(there were two more in the car). The maximum sentence they can get is two years for animal cruelty. Maybe they can tack on more time for gun possession. Maybe more for drug possesssion. Rick Perry the Governor of Texas is watching this case. Let's hope these losers get lots of jail time with Bubba. He likes fresh young boys.

  7. There are also potentially other cases too...other dogs have been killed in the same area recently.

If they get them for more, it could be 2 years for each.

    That would be good.

Let's all drop a line to "Bubba", and let him know these guys are coming. And drop a few bucks on his books as encouragment. :-)
