The Obama Plan

Okay. I'm depressed again. Check this out. Sound familiar?

"Is Obama squandering his opportunity? On the contrary, he's making the most of it. Obama's intentions are to organize the entire country into a third world leftist state. It's a twelve step program:

Step 1: Create a crisis that scares people. Say, their life savings evaporating under their eyes.

Step 2: Focus people's anxieties and fears on a target. Say, the Jews AIG

Step 3: Equate the target with what you are trying to destroy. That is, AIG = Capitalism. Fan the populist flames until a mass hysteria is started that enables government to step in and take out the target.

Step 4: Once the target is neutralized, identify another one to take its place. As the oil prices start to rise, Big Oil = AIG = Capitalism. Don't wait for those prices to rise on their own, be creative and scare the oil markets by a military strike in, oh say... Pakistan.

Step 5: As prices start to rise in a panicking market: Hey, have you noticed all those greedy doctors, hospitals and insurance companies?

Step 6: Pass laws of attainder against those targets while the iron is still hot.

Step 7: Increase taxes on the target groups to take back what is "rightfully ours" or take over their operations by step 6. At the same time promise those who do not own property or pay taxes that, you too, are entitled to a piece of "righfully ours" as long as you convince others in your community of doin' the right thing at the voting booth.

Step 8: Once the target(s) are under control, enact government programs that take the place of their goods and services. This will require a lot of money because the government still needs workers and other industries to supply goods to the government. Hospitals don't run themselves, you know.

Step 9: Loosen the money supply to print money to fund government programs while at the same time increasing taxes. As a hedge against inflation, people will sock away money in mattresses or gold/silver.

Step 10: As massive inflation wipes away people's savings and lowers the buying power of everyone - including government and their entitlementees - confiscate private property to bolster the value behind the dollar.

Step 11: Make it a crime punishable by death to trade in anything but the US Dollar. Send government agents to businesses and offer proprietors gold or silver in exchange for goods or services just to keep us honest. It is vital that people do not create a wealth exchange medium that the government cannot print or control.

Step 12: You are successfully organized. Take the pledge.

"...a sad waste of a grand opportunity"??? I think we are in the middle of step 4."
