Hoist By the Chicago Petard

Hillary Clinton's role as Secretary of State is examined by Dick Morris. Now, he's an antagonist of all things Clinton these days, so one has to "consider the source" whenever he talks about them.

Hillary's Incredible Shrinking Role by Dick Morris

On the other hand, he lists the people that Zero has chosen for any number of "international" assignments, and one has to wonder, indeed....what exactly poor Hillary is going to do.

Clinton gave up the Senate for this appointment. I wonder if she's regretting it already.

It does suggest that the Clintons have met their Machiavellian match in the Chicago Machine. The one certain way to eliminate criticism from a former opponent is to give her a spot on the team—and get her out of the Senate where she actually has power—and then marginalize her position on the squad.

I hate the man, but you gotta give it to him. That was pretty clever.

Cheap, lying, lowdown and dirty....but clever.

  1. I watched his picks and most of the really important posts were political rivals. Brilliant.

So let's say something goes horribly wrong with America's diplomatic policy and he has to fire Hillary. Her career is over. Bill Richardson, Tom Daschle, dead. No chance that they could challenge him.

Yeah the Clintons have finally met someone that's truly ruthless.

  2. The fact that she took it is proof of inept judgement, not "clever" on the part of Obamachine. "Cheap,Lying,Lowdown, and Dirty...but Clever" :re-election campaign slogan? Morris is the breed of slime that makes a living off complicating things.NONE of these people are complicated, just driven by Power and Ego.Maybe she'll throw another ashtray...

  3. I think Obama might be a sociopath. Absolutely no conscience. Amoral, and it's ALL about HIM.

Remember all the "friends" thrown under the bus during the campaign. He didn't miss a beat.

And his immediate breaking of his own "lobby" rules—all over the place—and the obvious and cheats and liars he's chosen for his administration.

I'm thinking he has no sense of "right and wrong", just a sense of what's advantageous for himself.
