Another Friend

I'd like to introduce you to a great site: The Return of Scipio. It's on the blog roll, so you can check it out anytime from here.

"You will also see that those areas of the nation that rejected the childish pretensions, the arrogance and the delusions of Obama voters are just those areas where most of the nation’s wealth is created, where most of the natural gas and oil lie and where much of the food is grown. To put it with crystal clarity: Blue States need Red States. Red States do not need Blue States. When push comes to shove, the winner will be the one who shoves the hardest.

Red Staters need to keep all of this in mind when the Democrats and national Republicans demand more of our wealth and resources, demand that we accept sodomy in our schools, demand that we lock up more and more of our oil underground, demand that we eliminate any evidence of Christ in our midst, demand that we drive cars suited for midgets, demand that we bow down to the charming dictates of Islam and accept unquestioning the swarms of illegals among us.

Need I say that Red States did not ask for this? Need I say that we simply asked that our Republican leaders act like—well, Republicans? Need I say that we have grown weary of the insults coming from Washington? Need I ask what Red States have in common with Washington? Need I ask what advantages there are to us for bowing and scraping to the dictates of Washington as we gradually give up what remains of our heritage?"

He's talking about the breakup of the Republican Party, and he makes a good case. Like me, he sees the current situation as unprecedented in the history of America, and is open to unprecedented solutions. He's another point of light exploring the "separation" option. We've had a short discussion about it, and both have come to the conclusion that in a serious show-down, the Red States will win.

In a nutshell, it comes down to drag queens vs cowboys.

And even this non-gambler will put money on that match.
