President-elect Obama said the dismal job news underscored the need for forceful action, even as he warned that the pain could not be quickly relieved.
"There are no quick or easy fixes to this crisis ... and it's likely to get worse before it gets better," Obama said. "At the same time, this ... provides us with an opportunity to transform our economy to improve the lives of ordinary people by rebuilding roads and modernizing schools for our children, investing in clean energy solutions to break our dependence on imported oil, and making an early down payment on the long-term reforms that will grow and strengthen our economy for all Americans for years to come."
What, exactly does this mean? I'm particularly troubled by the "...long-term reforms".
And how the hell is rebuilding roads and modernizing schools and investing in clean energy solutions supposed to reinvigorate our economy? More government spending? It has never—let me repeat—never helped an economy recover.
These people are idiots. Obama is an idiot. Everyone in Washington, except the few remaining staunch Conservatives who have a clue, but no voice...are idiots.
The government tells auto makers how to make cars. The government tells bankers how to bank. The result is we have three failing automobile manufacturing companies bankrupt, and a banking/financial/credit system in ruins.
That's what you get when moron government hacks get their hands on anything that requires adult supervision.
These wastes of oxygen know exactly two things:
- How to beg money from supporters when campaigning.
- How to steal money from citizens when in Congress
That is the sum total of their "expertise".
Oh, wait. They also know how to spend other people's money making themselves and their cronies rich. Okay, that makes three things their good at.
Yet, behind their fancy "hearing" benches, they pose like know-it-alls, presuming to lecture their betters whom these stupid little martinets drag before them so they can preen and pose before the cameras while uttering inanity after inanity and puffing themselves up like blowfish.
We need a house cleaning. T. Jefferson would understand. He would, I believe, if he entered Congress today, act much like Jesus did in the Temple....
...with righteous anger (and hopefully a pistol), driving out the money-grubbers, fuming about how they have made the sacred halls of the people's power into a den of thieves and plunderers.
And the place would be empty indeed.
I say, let the (natural) swamp reclaim D.C. Nothing could be better for the country.

Amen,well said as always

ReplyDeleteI'm so pissed for the ones that got nailed in this mess with mortgages and car loans and disappearing investments through no fault of their own.
ReplyDeleteI'm talking about the people who did it the right way, but whose futures are now threatened because of all the assholes who didn't.
There is no justice, there is just us
