Slate's Timothy Noah just can't hold his water.
Now that he feels assured that Obama is going to win, he's taking off the mask and saying out loud what he and his Liberals buddies really think.
And that's just how he describes it.
The funny part...the part he doesn't even seem to realize—or thinks is perfectly acceptable and perhaps clever— is that he is admitting that they've been lying, including by omission, for years, because they know that to admit what they really are, and what they really believe would assure a Liberal loss.
He admits that Liberals need to LIE to get elected. They need to pretend to believe things they don't, and pretend not to believe things they do. Because the American people would not elect them if they knew the truth.
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” -- Joseph Goebbels
I always considered this a vile notion. The Liberals apparently consider it good campaign advice.
And they call us Nazis.
