Obie's Tax Plan

I listened to Fred Thompson's speech tonight, and the best section was his take on Obie and the Demos' (good name for a band) tax "reform". Allow me to paraphrase:

Obie says he's not going to tax your family, just Businesses. So unless you buy something from businesses, like food, clothing or gasoline, or unless you get a paycheck from a business...it won't affect you at all!

[...or unless your 401k is invested in any "business"...Gunslinger]

Obie says he's not going to take water from your side of the bucket, just from the other side.

You gotta love that last line! Don't forget it when the Moonbats of the Angry Left try to tell you all about how Obie won't tax "Working People".

Doesn't he know that when Businesses have increased costs, which include taxes, prices that we Working People have to pay go up? Doesn't he know that when Businesses have lower profits because the government takes more taxes that Working People's wages are lower, or they get laid off, or bonuses are smaller, or raises are postponed? Doesn't he know that millions of Americans are invested in "Businesses" to realize the American Dream, for their future, for their kids' education, for a rainy day, for their retirement? And doesn't he know that when you make the cost of doing business more expensive, by taxing it, all Working People who are shareholders make less on their investments?

We Working People are the consumers. We Working People are the recipients of those paychecks, bonuses and raises. We Working People are the shareholders in "Businesses".

His "tax reforms" will take money out of the pockets of every American who eats, works or invests.

But apparently Obie hasn't figured that out yet. I think he might be a little shy on the fundamentals of economics. Maybe he skipped the economics classes at that fancy college he graduated from.

Or maybe he's a big fat socialist who thinks we don't know the first thing about economics, and that we'll buy his stupid, clueless, empty, nefarious promises and hustling schemes.

Either way...
