Language Warning

Just a short rant. I'm in the middle of watching a movie, and I got so annoyed by a slice of dialogue, that I had to pause and come and complain.

The movie is about a defense lawyer who successfully defended his client on murder charges. The nasty piece of work turns out to be guilty as hell...and a serial killer to boot, who immediately goes out and murders someone else.

This freaks out the lawyer, who tries to get evidence on him...but is prevented because the killer is very cagey. Blah, blah blah...he finally decides, when the bad guy threatens the lawyer's lover, to kill the guy.

His friend in the prosecutor's office recognizes the "look in his eye", and tries to talk him out of it...reminding him of his duty and the penalty for murder. The lawyer says it will be self-defense...or at least look like it. The prosecutor says, "I'm not talking about what it will look like, I'm talking about how it will feel."

The lawyer responds, "It'll feel good."

And here's the money line...the prosecutor says, (say it with me) "You'll be just like him."

Arrrrgggggghhhhh!

What the fuck is WRONG with people who write crap like that? How does killing a serial killer equate to killing a whole bunch of innocent people?

Who the fuck THINKS that way? What idiot decided that all killings are equal?

What genius doesn't get that some people need killin'?

If I killed Hitler, would that make me "just like him"?

Stupid Liberal Asshole Hollywood Writer: "Violence never solve anything. "

Me: "Uh...well, it stopped that there dead-ass serial killer from murdering, raping and torturing any more innocent women. Solved that motherfuckin' problem, by God."

Goddamn that shit annoys me.

  1. Amen sister,

I watched new bat man last night and was thinking the same thing. How in the Hell can batman be sinking to the Jokers level by ridding the world of such a menace. Where did all of this equating justice with murder come from? How can someone who fights evil become evil for doing the right thing?

Moral equivalence is why. But ask the same people who write such crap if its murder to kill an unborn baby and they start foaming at the mouth. Twisted..

  2. GS,

Personally, the last movie I "paid" to see was Forrest Gump and I have since come to the conclusion that the movie, while touching in many aspects, was in reality HolloWood's attempt at depicting US Military personnel as dim witted dolts and crazies(Lt)..
The bulk of what is produced is just hogwash..

  4. The proof of what most people believe is in the numbers, what's popular (and WHY)vs.what's "public",the hype of certain movies.Even with weenie pc dialogue inserted in some movies (so scriptwriters can tell cocktail-party buddies "But I put irony in the subtext!")---EVERYONE knows what made the Gate was the Good Guy kicking ass, which bankrolls the movie producers the ability to bankroll shitty films like "Stop-Loss" or "Brokeback" or whatever latest shit George Clooney is in.

  5. You'd think they'd learn from their own successes and failures.

How HARD can that be...it's in hard, cold cash!

Some people are immune to reality.
