Monkey Hate Speech

I guess we've all heard about this by now. But in case you missed it, a woman—an Obie delagate, if you please—has been "ticketed" for using the word "monkey" in public.

Yes, friends, saying the word "monkey" is a punishable offense in these United States. The police were called immediately by witnesses who were outraged at the crime...and the police, being called...issued a $75 ticket to the criminal, apparently agreeing that the offense was so egregious that to restore law and order this miscreant had to be punished by the full weight of the government and their armed police.

Oh, did I mention that she was talking to kids swarming in a magnolia tree? That she was concerned about their safety, and the health of the tree...and compared them to monkeys...climbing and swinging in trees? Oh my....what an odd comparison...considering that monkeys are, oh, I don't know, the FIRST thing you'd think of when seeing kids climbing on and swinging it a tree.

But, you see, the children were black.

And Obie felt the need to call her remarks "divisive"...and ask for her resignation as a delegate. This, from the "post-racial" candidate, who can't repudiate the howling racist at whose knee he learned everything he knows about "spirituality".

Yes, indeedy...she's a racist!

It's is odd how that works, considering she's Mexican (Sliwinski is her husband's name)...and a Obie delegate...but hey, I'm just a typical White Person...so what the fuck do I know?

I do have a teeny, tiny, little White Person concern, however, that if today you can be "ticketed" for using the word "monkey"...how long will it be before you can be imprisoned for the same "crime"?

And will they give us a list of the criminal words...or will we just have to stop talking altogether for fear of being arrested?

And, if I may ask...has anyone ticketed the "Reverend" Wright yet??

  1. Yup, I agree with you on your main point, but on the other hand it was nice to see 'round about justice. I'll just consider that the bitch got what she deserved for sticking her nose in other people's business.
The kids were next door and their parents were with them. Who the fuck does Sliwinski think she is? Obviously another 'I know what's best for you' liberal.

  3. Of course, there were disorderly conduct ordinances prior to the 50s. But it was racial minorities, women (sometimes), and homosexuals who were affected by them.
