I shouldn't gloat. But I will anyway. Amidst all the bad news, and the stupid politics, and the idiotically bad choices Americans make everyday...they have gotten one thing entirely right. It's almost enough to restore your faith in the hoi polloi: Katie Couric has proved an abject failure as anchor for CBS Network News, as the New York Times so eloquently reports. (And it must just kill them to say it!All the fanfare, all the assumptions that we women were completely brainless and would tune in with bated breath to watch fluffy Katie soften the news for us...and make it more "personable" and "personal".

She is a dipshit. A foaming at the mouth Liberal dipshit. Guess they never noticed that part. Her interviews and reports were an insult to everyone in America not who is not a foaming at the mouth Liberal dipshit. Her perkiness was nauseating; her ignorance profound. And yet, and yet...the suits at CBS just can't figure out why she bombed.
The day the idiots finally sack her will be delicious...in exactly the same way that watching Air America go down in flames was so satisfying: A bunch of supercilious, self-righteous assholes completely out of touch with America and its values presuming to force their mindless kumbaya socialist crap down our throats...and getting soundly pummeled for their trouble.
Their disbelief and incomprehension when they are thrown under the train is a bright spot in the otherwise vapid and predictable world of New York/Los Angeles broadcast "journalism".
I love the smell of pink slips for Left-Wing dipshit anchors in the morning.
