McCain's Miscalculation

John McCain is living in a fantasy land. When did move to Hollywood?

Today apparently he "suspended" a campaign worker for being mean to Obie.

Exactly what does this guy think is going to happen when the "general" campaign begins? Does he actually think Democrats are going to treat him with respect and decency? Does he think the Obie campaign is going to suspend people who make him look bad?

Does he think he's going to get a free ride from Big Media like Obie?

He's either senile or mad. Or both.

He's running around in the Middle East while the economy is crashing, playing Miss Manners with the spawn of the devil Democrats. What a rude awakening he's headed for.

I admit, because I don't like him, it will be fun to watch his dumbfounded eye-blinking when the Democrats hit him between the eyes with that 2x4 they've got hidden in the backseat.

And to think this is the best the Republican Party could come up with for a presidential candidate...

How pathetic can you get?

  1. The Republicans have quickly become what one British Conservative Party member called his own party,"The Stupid Party".Can't recall who, know I got it from Saint Buckley.

  3. I just read Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell. He's so good, it was enjoyable as well as educational!

I recently heard Glenn Beck praise The Dark Tide by Andrew Gross, to the rafters. He said it was one of those stories that keeps you up WAY past bedtime.

    "Saint Buckley". I love it!

(I just put "Pirates" in my cart at Amazon. $7.99 Hardcover! Can't beat that!)

  4. Short list of "nice" Republicans [please note I did not say conservatives] and I don't equate "nice" with good manners and intellect..
    This being disclaimed: Dan Quayle/George H.W. Bush/George W. Bush/Newt Gingrich/Bob Dole/Gerald Ford and there are more I am sure..
As astutely noted, McPain may be senile!!

  5. Of course McCain has a hidden 2x4 somewhere. These politicians... it's all about looking good and true and making any sort of promise as long as it will get you elected. Then when they're in office, they turn around and shit in your face.

He's not the best the Republican party could come up with. He's what was force fed to us by the media, thanks in part to the disappointing, lack luster, late to the fight campaign strategy of the one true conservative candidate and the presence of another Arkansas dumb ass who succeeded in nothing more than stealing votes from a candidate who would have at least been preferable to McCain.
The very sad thing is, most Americans don't take the time to be involved politically. I'm not talking about running for office or even attending city council meetings. I'm talking about getting themselves educated about the candidates. Mention McCain-Kennedy to someone and I'd guess 8 times out of 10 their response will be "huh?". Slam them with enough 30 second TV commercials, and you'll hear "Yup, he's my man."
This trend toward compromise seems to have the vast majority nodding their head in agreement, "Why can't we all just get along". The problem is, it's always a compromise toward the left. And each successive compromise is from a previously compromised position.
I'm voting for the dirty rat bastard. But I hope they have a waste basket in the voting booth if I'm not successful in choking back my bile.
In the words of a friend of mine "I'm not fat, I'm filled with frustration."

  7. Jag,

Jack N (if I may be so bold as to assume I know) and I are talking about Republicans who schmooze too much with Democrats. Who are afraid to "play dirty", and end up shafting their own party and constituents in the attempt to be "gentlemanly" with their back-stabbing, dirty-fighting Demo colleagues.

It has been the bane of Republicans as long as I can remember. Lost in their country-club fantasies, they seem to imagine it's "not in good taste" to actually fight with your bloodthirsty, armed-for-bear enemies.

    Drives conservatives nuts.

  8. Alpha,

    Love the quote!

Absolutely, in my opinion, Big Media selected the Republican candidate.

And they are trying their best to do the same thing to the Dems. Obamessiah was well on his way due to a free ride...while Hillary, used to the royal treatment from the media, has been flummoxed and desperate as a result of their turning on her without warning...and for no reason except their teeny-bopper "crush" on Obie.

It's actually shocking to see the way they delight in ambushing their former darling.

Bad enough she got dumped on by the Old Man...now she's getting the same treatment from the Liberal Media.

I find myself almost feeling sorry for her.

    Almost.

  10. "Alphadog" is right on target. This is such an odd election cycle-weinies all around,it's so odd how eff-ed up the Demos are (or "Dummo-crats")They're cannibalizing themselves with their in-fighting and race-concious BS.Krauthammer points it out-hoisted on their own petards!"I'm a Liberal, who do I vote for?Who's the biggest Victim?I can't decide!'Lovin' it!
