It's the FREE MARKET, Stupid!

There is not enough information in this story, but it's a knock on the head to start paying attention to it.

Freedom is political. But it is controlled by the economic.

Without a free market and private property, freedom is impossible. End. Of. Story.

When the government owns the means of production and distribution, we are all slaves to it...so we can eat.

It's time to shift at least part of our attention from the strictly "political", and notice how the government is eating away at our freedom and future prosperity by their "intervention" in the current "crisis" in order to "save" us.

Uh huh.

That's what they said in 1929. And what would have been a bad recession ended up a 10 year catastrophe.

And now they want to give more power to the FED????

People, the FED isn't part of the FEDeral Government. It is privately owned Banking Corporation.

I don't want them getting any more control/power over the American economy. Why aren't the Liberals screaming? How could they want a private corporation in charge of our lives? Don't they hate corporations? Why isn't Obama howling? Doesn't he think that we have to unite against the common enemy—corporations?

Well, because they are too high-minded to care about "the free market"...and haven't got a clue as to the identity, ownership, power or function of the Federal Reserve Bank.

Ask 10 people on the street, and 9.5 will say it's Bank of the United States (government).

And so we slide into oblivion...
